About Me
I am a nurse, hence the user name "therealfokker". I am a father of two boys. The younger is 13 y/o, and he's the joy of my life. Actually every moment we spend together he just breaks me up! I hurt from laughing so much. lf you enjoy being with someone who is really trying to listen to what you have to say. Believe me i don't think that it is as easy to be a really effective listener as people would have you believe.. People often say they are simple but i find thats just not the case. Rather than admit the depth that lays beneath the masks we all carry around, we hold back! It's only natural. Most of us have had to endure some challenge, lived thru pain, or loss, and some of us have suffered through great abuse. The woman i seek need not be perfect. Only a narcissist would be interested in perfection. I am looking for a beautiful mind and admittedly I know what I think is a beautiful looking woman. N .
No one is easy to get to know and that is how it should be. The greatest gift that we have to share is giving and receiving trust. That can only happen when being with someone, confirms what we already feel is there beneath our first impressions of someone! . That you have discovered that the greatest gift in life is to know that loving yourself is the only way we can come to love others.
I will get real about myself here. I have eyes, so i know what is physically attractive to me! I like a tall woman, near to my 6 foot friame. Thin to medium build but this is because i am lanky, I like to think athletic but I may be delusional...lol, 165-170 lbs. However if you weight a little more than me thats fine. Dark brown or black hair with dark eyes really turns my head. I love the beach but don't care if i get a tan or not, just don't want to come back "fried"... BTW: perfect white skin looks great to me! I hope no one takes offense for what i have said. I want to be honest. This is only a profile, not some test for someone to pass. I will be glad to engage anyone in a meaningful conversation about how silly and unrealistic these profiles and the arbitrary expectations that accompany our "ideal match" are. Remember i am new to this. Update: after close consulting with my teenager I now have pics up. Thank God I bought that kid a computer at 5 y/o...lmao! Having called upon his technical wizardry to get his dad a date...love that kid!
I am easy to talk to, nothing scary here! I do pediatrics, so expect a gentle person but a straight-shooter. I work long hours, 7p-7a usually 5 days., but I have plenty of flexibility when it comes to my schedule and I only book my schedule one week in advance. When I am in a busy week I prefer to relax on my days off, do simple things that don' t require a lot of time or planning. Such as a casual dinner, jeans and a t- shirt kinda thing, a day at the beach is always good, maybe just meet for a drink and catch the sunset...I love to take my shoes off and walk in the surf, always have a pair of flip- flops in the trunk of my car, a movie whether in the threatre or at home, love scary horror films but I' 'll cave in and watch a "chick flick" with you just so long as we can watch a comedy afterwards, PLEASE! When I take more time off I like to make plans for little trips, art museums, short getaways for a night or two...btw I have been in Florida for 25 years and have never been to Key West....can you believe it! Tell me you want to go? I have family in Atlanta (southern fried Yankees), in Pittsburgh(home town), Virginia, and my kids in Chicago. Lots of distant family also, some in France and as far as New Zealand. Hers is my list of fantasy trips in no real order Paris, Berlin, Venna, London, St Petersburg, Dublin....oh just anywhere in Europe, NewYork, San Diego/LA, San Francisco (born there), Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, etc, Hawaii...only if I get married again, Washington....I can never get enough of DC, and all the great battlefields of the Civil War ( history major in college). I would take suggestions and additions for sure.
Here is my professional plan, become a traveling nurse....probably concentrating on Pediatrics but I am a vet and disaster relief FEMA is another interest of mine.
What I look for in a woman...the real stuff! You have to take music over tv, loud heavy metal to soft sweet voices, ageless classics to I just heard that this morning and I want to crank it up, dancing to sitting, and you can't be easily embarrassed by my lack of grace but proud of my courage in the face of a clear lack of rhythm, enjoy art and museums but want to kill me when I want to practice my finger painting on you..yeah I want to be artistic...lol, follow my lead but cut me a break when you know we are getting in th he weeds or headed for a foreign country and I did n't mention we needed passports before we left! Well I am not finished with this. A work in progress!

First Date
A meet, greet, and take it slow. I believe that chemistry can occur almost immediately, but that it can be a bad trigger as well as a guide.
