About Me
I'd have to say that my favorite hobby would have to be reading. I can, and have, spent countless hours with a good book. While I can say that I have branched out and tried many different kinds of books over the years, my favorite genre is fiction. Historical fiction, horror, fantasy and/or science fiction, urban and dark fiction, and even some romance once in awhile. There are so many books that I love, I don't think I could name them all. I do read non-fiction as well, although the list is much smaller. I like to read up on subjects that interest me, which tends to be religions and cultures of the world, myths and legends from around the world, or any other topic that catches my eye at the time.
With my love for books also comes a great enjoyment for writing. Though I don't pick up a pen nearly as often as I will pick up a book, I would still consider writing a hobby of mine. I'd like to think I'm a decent short story spinner, and while I haven't written anything new in a few years, I have a small collection of poetry.
Recently I have started a new hobby: jewelry making. I use all kinds of beads to hand make bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and even key-chains and book-marks too. I really enjoy the whole creative process of making a new piece of jewelry (until I accidentally spill all the beads I'm working with on the floor, of course!), and most of the time I find it relaxing.
As lame as this might sound, I want to be happy and satisfied with my life as a whole. I want to look back on my life when I am truly old and have no regrets.
So what makes me... me? Lots of things, really. In case it isn't obvious, I'm 30 years old, and yes I promise I'm a woman. I'd like to think I have a pretty good sense of humor, though there are times when I'm the only one who gets the joke I'm trying to make. I'd say I'm feminine, but I wouldn't say I'm high maintenance. I think I'm a pretty easy going kind of gal who like to hang out with friends just as easily as I enjoy being on my own. When I'm in a relationship, of course I love spending time with my guy, but I don't feel threatened when he wants to spend time with his friends. I'm honest, I'm loyal, and I'm passionate. I selected "new age" for my religion, but truth is, I'm Pagan. I stumbled across Wicca about 15 years ago, and I've never looked back. I've branched out and studied other traditions and spiritual systems and created my own path from what I've learned. I'm still learning, and glad to be still learning. I would love to study Shamanism, especially the Native American branch.
What can I say about my life-long love affair with music? I've never learned to play an instrument, and while I might sing along to the radio or something, I'm not the best singer in the world, but music is still a big part of my every day life. My tastes in music are so varied I don't even know where to start. I'm not a huge fan of country, rap, or gospel.. but I can deal with even those in small doses. Everything else outside of those is fair game. I'll listen to just about anything at least once!

First Date
I think first dates should be relaxed and casual. Dinner and a movie is always a tried and true formula. For me, Chinese/Asian food is always a safe bet, and I love a good horror flick. Action/adventure is always fun too.
I like the idea of having a lunch at some outdoor cafe, then taking a nature walk or short hike.
A nice idea for a summer date is meeting up for ice cream in the evening, then a stroll along the beach.
Speaking of beach, a picinic on the beach, or anywhere else is fine too.
