About Daniel
First of all, thanks for taking the time to get this far and learn a little bit of what makes me me. My name is Daniel, but I go by Danny to most everyone who knows me, but I'll answer to just about anything close to that.
I am a single father and have been for over a year now. I have my son 100% full time and I work more than full time (50+ hrs) so my week is very full but I have the weekends off and I like to make the most of them. In the summer I really enjoy getting out and being outside, even if my fair skin likes to have heated arguments with the sun (usually loses too). I picked up Kayaking last summer and really enjoy getting out on the water and just enjoying the peace and quiet that comes with it. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of free time but I tend to spend it with my friends watching movies, going out to eat, playing racquetball at the gym, and other things that usually involve our kids doing something together. Having a child full time tends to make a lot of my activities centered around things we can do together, like going to The Bounce Spot and just playing on the bounce houses and jungle gym together. He really is the most important thing in my life and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Like I mentioned before, I work a lot of hours as a supervisor at a transportation company on the swing shift, so basically 2pm-midnight which kind of kills my night life and hence the "night owl" description. It's a job I enjoy and I feel like there's a lot more I can learn from it. I have been employed there for over 8 years now, worked my way up from the bottom, so to speak and am always looking for more ways to move up. It has been great in being able to help me transition through the rough times in my life and is able to help me provide for and take care of my son, which is my biggest comfort I take from working there.
So besides being a workaholic, I would describe myself as having a great sense of humor, I will often laugh at a situation (good and bad) and make jokes more than anything else. I tend to have a pretty positive outlook on life and believe that people are inherently good and try to look for that good in them. I am very giving in a relationship, I'm always looking for ways to make my significant other smile and be happy. Being that I was married for almost 6 years, I find myself out of practice in the dating arena and would love to get back into it again. I would like to take things slow and see where they go from there, unless you're Lindsey Stirling, then I'm ready for marriage :D. I actually went to a concert of hers in San Francisco and it was by far one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
So that leads a little to my music choices, I like pretty much anything, but Country is at the bottom of the list. Favorite song of all time is Everlong by the Foo Fighters and in my car I have Imagine Dragons, Jay-Z and Kanye, Lindsey Stirling, and the Killers all queued up in my CD player.
So if you'd like to learn more I would love to get to know you too and see where things go from there!

First Date
I think before a date comes in to play we should meet each other and see if there is even some sort of spark to consider an actual date. Something simple like getting some Tapioca Express or ice cream and taking a walk (ok only when it's not like 105* or pouring rain outside) where we could talk and get to know each other. After that, I think it depends on the person, go cart racing, mini golf, laser tag, water park, candlelight dinner, whatever I think we would both enjoy.
