About Me
Hello there,

Born and raised in San Jose but live in the mountains of Scotts Valley by Santa Cruz. I am currently trying to find a way out of CA and move to a conservative state (Idaho). Very practical and conservative. Knowing I don't belong here, I reside in the area to work in IT/Accounting but live far enough away to have acreage with livestock. I believe in being self-sufficient, independent and capable. I don't believe in 401ks. I believe in gold and silver....and lead. I love all kinds of music (rock, country, bluegrass, etc) and even like latin music since I danced salsa and other latin dances (and ballroom and swing). I enjoy almost anything outdoors (dirt biking, hunting, kayaking, camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, packing on horses, etc). Not too fond of open water but I'm open to it...I guess that is typical of "country" folk. I own, ride and train horses; I trim their hooves myself, have rescued some this way, and firmly believe they should be barefoot and can be perfectly sound on rocks (ask how if you a horse person and/or interested). I have a cow that I rescued. I own and breed goats that I plan to butcher. I do the same with chickens and plan to add rabbits to my collection. If this disgusts you, please don't contact me. I find that humans have gotten so far from reality; walking into the super market and thinking the meat magically grew in the styrofoam trays. I find it hypocritical for people to buy and eat meat WHILE they judge those that hunt or judge those that butcher their own animals for food. At least I know how my food was treated (free range, humanely and with respect). I further find it disturbing that someone would happily buy meat at the store but couldn't bear the thought of putting an animal down themselves. That's just turning a blind eye. Just because you didn't pull the trigger doesn't mean an animal didn't die for you...you just paid someone else to do it for you. If you are one of these people, please do not contact me. I want a realistic man, and a REAL man, not a border-line closet case (you know who you are). I hold women to the same standards and tell my female friends that they need to bring their kids out to my small farm to butcher a chicken so that their kids are realistic and know the truth, and are capable. Our culture is raising a bunch of kids that sheltered and hidden from the truth; they all live in a pretend Disney world. Also, I have had to kill mountain lions and bobcats that took down my livestock (yes, Fish and Game know). If this saddens you, don't contact me. If you wouldn't be able to do the same to protect your pets/livestock, don't contact me. If you think I sound like a b***, don't contact me. :-) I'm really not. I am a fun, loving and nice person, but I will not be a victim, especially in my own home. I've been told that life around me is always interesting because I always have something exciting or interesting going on.

I am looking for a guy who is Christian (not Catholic, I don't count beads or pray to anyone but God), also hunts, is practical, intelligent, honest, patient, enjoys the idea of homesteading, living away from the crowded cities, loves the outdoors and activities it offers, and appreciates (and can handle) a strong, independent girl. I am very loving, not domineering (although I sound like I could be), and give A LOT to my significant other. You don't have to have a high-paying job, but rather, be handy and capable, or at least able to learn to fix things. I teach myself how to work on my diesel truck, for example. Huge bonus points for someone who wants kids, oh, and plays the guitar. My campfires at my house are just too quiet and I very much wish I could play the guitar. Now that I am done with my CPA exams, I will probably begin lessons at some point soon.

My idea of humor is Family Guy, Jackass, Larry the Cable Guy, and some of the less crude humor as well. I find politically incorrect jokes to be hilarious, even if it is directed at my race or gender. On the PG-13 side, I think The Nanny is funny, even though Fran Drescher is a liberal. I also like the show Friends. But I rarely turn on the TV with all the other activities I like to do.

I have a wonderful son who is very well-behaved. Everyone who meets him says what a little man he is. Very respectful, shakes your hand, looks you in the eye, and all that good stuff. He is smart, social, fun and is such a character. He is 12 and enjoys baseball (center fielder; slugger), riding dirt bikes, and shooting his .22 Ruger and pellet rifles that I bought for him. He has his hunter safety course completed and is rearing to go hunting. I have 50/50 custody with my x-husband, with whom I have a great relationship/friendship with.

Anyhow, if I sound like what you've been looking for, then please send me a note...I would love to discuss further with you.
