About Me
Well lets see...I'll try to talk about some of the things most people don't know about me...I won state my senior year in pole vault...I'm a published poet...I like to paint...I'm an Eagle Scout...I've backpacked in the Rocky mountains, Appalachian mountains, and the Sierra Nevada's...I pole vaulted for the University of Findlay and have a PR of 15'6.
Goals: I would eventually like to have a family that I am able to provide for. I would ultimately like to own my own business. I want to invent something that revolutionizes the world. I do have a dream home that I want to design and build myself. Ultimately I just have a strong desire to better myself, the world, and those around me!
I'm not the average guy. I am a hopeless romantic and still believe in chivalry, kindness, and try never to be rude. Disrespect is my biggest pet peeve and if I feel I have been disrespected I will let you know. I do not believe raising voices solves anything and prefer calm discussions about issues to shouting matches. I have extremely high standards for myself, and if I fall short, nothing you can do to me will make me feel worse than I already do. I will defend myself if I don't believe that I have done anything wrong. I will stand up for what is right, but do not see the point of causing needless fights just to prove a point. I do not ignore people, but I don't have a problem telling them that I would prefer they don't talk to me. In relationships I strongly believe in communication between couples and I am open and honest about everything and expect the same in return. I do not like it when a partner hides something from me for fear of how I will react, it shows they don't trust me and that will make me more upset than if you tell me up front. I am blunt and don't always sugar coat things.
I am down to earth and don't feel the need to always be dressed nice. I do have nice clothes that I wear when appropriate. I prefer to be comfortable in the privacy of my own home though. I am more of a laid back go with the flow kind of person and don't usually plan ahead. I can be a homebody, staying home most nights, or I can get dressed up and go out on a nice date. I love to cuddle. I love taking pictures of nature (wildlife, landscapes, plants, etc) but I am not fond of taking pictures of people.
I live for college football! I love to play sports but other than college football, I really don't like watching them except during tournament times. I am a fierce competitor. I rarely will back down from a challenge (only if I think its stupid, it doesn't interest me, or if the challenge is something immature like a fight)
I am a highly driven person with many interests including building design, technology, programming, construction, horticulture, herpetology, biology, engineering, and environmental practices of various sorts. I strongly believe in Sustainability in design and function. I want to save the world.
I could be considered a jack of all trades and an ace of some. I know basic skills in construction/home renovation (painting, tiling, plumbing, electrical wiring, etc) technology setup/troubleshooting, landscaping, horticulture (growing and cultivation of plants), photography, computer construction, webpage design, cooking (grilling, oven, stove top, open fire, and dutch oven), survival skills (foraging, knots, fire building, shelter construction, finding my way via stars, sun, and plants, etc). This is just some of the things I know.
I am a pretty good cook. I know how to do my own laundry and can get most stains out. I am a very good at cleaning and organizing (when im in the mood). I can fix just about anything. I have a great sense of style (don't really care when I'm having a lazy day and don't care if my shorts and shirt clash :-p). I am very innovative and can come up with great ideas for anything if I find the subject interesting (obviously not math, and I have no interest in designing clothes :-p). I will always be continuing my education in some way, either through DIY books, classes, seminars, or working on various projects with people. I have a thirst for knowledge. I love working with my hands or mind, but hate being restricted to certain tasks (I want to create or innovate).
Just a heads up, I love to talk and can talk at length about anything. I'm not the greatest at being brief unless you ask me to be. I have ADD so if I have something important to say, I will interrupt you because I will not remember what it was when you finish what you are saying unless I ignore you completely, but weirdly I will remember exactly the last thing you said. I am very caring and I love to be there for someone. I hate when people are sad and love to make people smile. My motto is "How can I make the world a better place today."
