My hobbies include reading, writing, listening to music/singing, and taking pictures; all of these are great outlets for me. I am currently a junior in college majoring in psychology with an emphasis in mental health work; someday, I hope to take my love of helping people to a new level by becoming a successful clinical psychologist. What makes me different and unique...? I'm not really sure how to answer this one; I feel like everyone thinks they're incredibly unique in some way or another, though that's not to say that they aren't... My taste in music is kind of random... I enjoy music from different genres, just nothing that's too negative or degrading. Music is a big part of my life, even when I'm not performing myself.
I'm not looking to jump into anything immediately; I'd rather get to know you first. In other words, please don't call me "baby", "sweetie", "sweetheart", or any other pet names; you do not know me like that yet. I'm just looking for someone who is capable of initiating a normal, mature conversation with me and is not looking for a hookup. (If that is what you're looking for, you're wasting your time.) In other words, I'm fairly old-fashioned when it comes to relationships and dating; I'd like to get to know you first.
I really don't like idea of going to see a movie on a first date. It gives you something to talk about afterwards, but it's a bit awkward. I love concerts, so even a concert by an indie act and dinner would be fun. I'm open to almost anything that will allow us to talk and get to know each other, as long as it isn't preceded by a movie.
