I'm new to sites like this, but I figured I would take a look and see what happens. I recently graduated from Lakehead U with a BA in Education and English, have a job that I love, and am looking to start meeting new people now that I have a life again. My interests are rather varied with a few oddities thrown in. I love to read, hike, kayak, sail, play soccer (football), watch cheesy action and sci-fi movies, and play with my dogs to name a few. While I can and will dance to just about anything my favorite musicians are a blend of classic rock, 80's metal, and country. As for the future I'm tired of planning things out and just want to go with the flow for a bit. At the moment, I've just about finished my first year teaching here and looking forward to my next year. While I no longer feel completely out of my depth, I am still trying to get my bearings regarding UK versus Canadian idiosyncrasies. Yes, that does mean I'm Canadian. It always makes me laugh when people start listing the countries they think my accent could possibly stem from. None of which are ever Canada. I'm not expecting a whole lot from the site, but I'm hoping to be pleasently surprised.
Ideally, the first date would take place in a setting that was reasonably relaxed, allowed for conversation in order to get to know the other person, but had enough going on to minimize awkward or uncomfortable silences. That said, something with a rollercoaster would be a blast!
