Go confidently in the direct of your dreams (Thoreau). As for me, I'm still learning how to read the compass!
But music and skiing make the trip very enjoyable. But better when shared, I think.
We all live by our own truths and rules. Here are a couple of mine. "Pay it forward" is a beautiful thing and keeping your word is pretty basic
My set tastes in women are; non-smokers, my age range, and unpretentious. My general tastes? That's wide open, no laundry list here. I know that, "judging a book by it's cover", that'll trip you up every time.
Life is dynamic, not static, so I try to keep the energy flowing mentally, spiritually and physically. I'm a Dad, and that will always be a big part of my life. So integrity, being socially-globally aware (love the planet, not necessarily the people who run it) and pursuing your dreams are the examples I try to set. I try.
A lighthouse road trip is on my list. Camera or sketch book in hand, Key West to Nova Scotia sounds like a good one. Want to join me?
I'm definitely young at heart...I only look like "Father Time"!
So let's not take ourselves too seriously, it's only life after all. (Insert laughter here...depending on your point of view)
PS: Ladies, please don't show us pictures of your feet, your cute little dog (Toto?), the magnificent sunset from your last vacation. We're not there yet. There's plenty of time for that. That space could be better served with those beautiful pics of YOU (without sun glasses).
I like the path less traveled (the Milford Track?), so let's mix it up with a fun, but simple activity. A chance to talk, with diversions. First Fridays, any freebie summer concert series, The Tattered Cover, a walk, miniature golf, slam poetry at The Merc. We'll find something.
