I get a little thrill from music of all sorts, learning languages, discovering/researching things on the Internet, a good game (football, poker, capture the flag, jenga, whatever!!), talking with friends, and good grammar, among other things. I love to laugh, I love complimenting and being complimented, and making each moment count ... (:
What else... let's see - I love ballroom / latin dancing (I can't hold still when there's a salsa, cha-cha or bachata playing) ; you might find me staring at the stars on a cool, crisp night; I love all manner of animals, and will generously transport spiders and cucarachas back outside rather than smush the poor, unsuspecting creatures, but I will kill a mosquito with no remorse or provocation; I have been to four of the seven continents, though some visits have been far too brief and insufficient; I have to plan ahead if I'm going to be spontaneous; my car's stereo is set to a jazz station; I own way too many bottles of nail polish; I grew up in Ohio; I actually enjoy and look forward to attending mass each week; I can neatly fold fitted sheets - especially if they're only twin-sized; I speak enough Spanish to make the native Spanish-speakers do a double-take, and have taken classes in German, French, Serbo-Croatian (sort of), and have sung in all the aforementioned languages, as well as Italian, Latin, Russian, Xhosa, and Portuguese; my family is amazing and wonderful (and huge); and I -quite obviously- am verbose. (I do know how to shut my trap and just listen, though...)

First Date
A first date should be an opportunity to talk about a ton of stuff - whether that means going to dinner or dancing or to a museum or a carnival depends on the interests of those involved. I would say that a casual, no-pressure environment would help. There are lots of variables!
