I'm a single mom, 3 fantabulous (yes, its a word) kids. Starting over with a new life and new career. I spend as much time as I can with my kids when I'm not working (we love the zoo and sea world). I love reading, movies, musicals, picnics, the beach, country music...well anything but rap crap... I have an open mind, and I'm not afraid to share it! I'm not hard to please, especially once you get to know me.
I volunteer with a local charity, and absolutely LOVE it. Best job I ever had, and if I could do it full time, I would.
I wear my heart on my sleeve and have not usually been one to keep my thoughts and feelings to myself. You will almost always know where you stand with me (when you don't know, that's when there's a problem).
I have two best friends, and they mean as much to me as my kids, and their opinion counts for double.
I sing to the radio when I'm driving and dont care who watches me. I will probably never see them again, and may have made them smile :-).
If you've read this far, and care to keep going, yay!
I want to feel important to the person I'm with. Make time for me. I understand this can be more challenging when you have kids, however, it can be done...
I have, in the past, described myself as a green m&m, short, (formerly) round, and huge attitude. I'm sassy and sarcastic, sweet inside with a not so hard shell to crack. The difference between me and the m&m, I will melt in the right hands.
I don't need to be dazzled with bullish*t, I want to be swept off my feet with genuine sincerity. I'm a hopeless romantic, but the effort has to be real, not a show just to achieve a goal!!!!
Congratulations on getting this far...
Please don't send me a message with "hi how are you" or "hey" as the only line, you will not get a response!!!! You need to be within a 10 mile radius of mission/fashion valley, have a recent picture or two, not your high school graduation picture with a caption "just add a few more years and I really haven't changed", and a good grip on the English language. I don't speak slang. You should also be within a 6ish year age range in either direction!!!!!
Be creative with your opening line, you only get one chance at a first impression... Having said that, I believe in second chances, but I draw the line at 3... If you need more than 3, you need to move on, because I have a limit, and can only do so much volunteer/charity work.
I'm not hard to handle, but don't expect to control me, and no, that's not an invitation for a challenge! I have an opinion and may give it to you, whether you want it or not. I may give you your opinion too! There's a time and place for everything, and fine line of balance. I walk the line carefully, and usually my balance is pretty good.
I think I've talked about me enough, everything else, you will have to learn as you go, if you're blessed and lucky enough to get that far!
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
If its dinner, it shouldn't be in a cardboard box with a handle. If its a movie, it shouldn't be a cartoon. I love Mexican food and sushi equally! I do not like horror movies, but I do like suspense/thrillers. Don't be afraid to show your feminine side, bring tissue to a chick flick. A walk on the beach at sunset, after a wonderful picnic... A play or musical and dinner after... A baseball game and a beer... I'm not hard to please, and game for just about anything...I draw the line at jumping out of a plane.
