I enjoy outdoor activities, spontaneous adventures, and sometimes just being in the same room with someone that truly relaxes me. My sense of sound is very keen, which can be annoying whenever I overhear sections of a conversation I really didn't want to hear, but hey, it makes for funny conversations later. I was born in Misawa, Japan in a military family where I began learning three languages simultaneously: English, Swahili, and Japanese. Now I am focusing on learning German and Italian while brushing up my Japanese and Spanish. Constant improvement and stimulating challenges are a must in life; otherwise, there will be no growth and no development towards newer and exciting things. That's why I got into consulting and mentoring. I personally like helping others and empowering people's lives so they can be better than who they were yesterday. My professional motto is "if there is a need, I will fill it."
Throughout my life, I have always kept myself focused and grounded on what is most important to me: family, a sense of fulfillment, self-actualization, and success. My soon-to-be-famous self-made quote sums up my personality in a sense: "My success is a fact the world has yet to realize, and I am here to enlighten the world." Look for that on T-shirts, keychains, mugs, etc. Don't get me wrong.
I may be focused, but I do have a silly streak with a hint of mischief. If sarcasm, puns, word play, pop culture references, and nerdy jokes are your thing, then we will get along quite well. I can be a one-man sitcom/cartoon/talk show - minus the commercials of course. I wonder if that's why people say I am good with kids. I have been told I would make a great dad and a fun uncle...we will see what happens. My interest in trying new things have lead me to build skills in various areas. I love cooking because I love to eat...doing the dishes... not so much.
I studied various martial arts in Japan when I was young, and I continue my studies today focusing on the mental, physical, internal, and then combat aspects of martial arts. This has lead me to develop my own martial arts method, which I taught and still teach in self-defense classes today. With my knowledge of the human body and pressure points, I did chiropractic work and various styles of massages. I even gave healing massages that helped athletes, those recovering from injuries, and those suffering from heavy stress. In the past, I have been the masseur for others, but recently, I had a massage of my own on a cruise to the Bahamas. I now see why those I massaged left so relaxed and came back as soon as they did. Ladies, I now have an appreciation for why you like the occasional pampering. I have gained a new appreciation for the Destiny Child's song "Cater 2 U" that's for sure.
