About Me
Hi, I’m Liam; I live in Long Eaton, where I moved to a few years ago after buying my first house. I have worked in Healthcare Admin/management since September 2008 which I love, though like all jobs, it has its moments. I enjoy helping others; it’s what gives me a buzz at the end of the day. Ha corny.
I love to play Lawn Bowls, which has been a big part of my life for the past 12 years, playing for a local team as well as the County side for the under 25s in the past. Over the years I have been Club President and Captain. I have enjoyed playing across several counties in England, meeting new and interesting people and making friends along the way. I love reading historical fiction and try and read at least 1 book every couple of weeks; such as world war periods and the Crusades. I also read none fiction and research a lot when I have the time; I must admit I love Sci Fi and I am an avid Star Trek Fan ? Geeks out lol.
Music wise I love anything which carries a soft or easy melody from the 1900s to the 1960s, I do like some modern groups such as the Killers, Mumford and son, I’m fairly eclectic in my tastes… looks at record player.
My favourite book is Watership down by Richard Adams and probably Stand by me is my favourite song at the moment, but there are so many.
One day I hope to live in France; a small farm house/stone cottage in either the south of France or Normandie/Brittany, a couple of dogs to run around after me
