Often considered the charismatic oddball of the group, I tend to vary from in-depth conversation about the perplexities of things such as the human psyche, the wonder of synaptic growth, human development, environmental vs genetic influences in behavior, the fun and exciting world of celestial phenomenon, to how awesome vacuum cleaners are (yup, I have a strange love of vacuum cleaners).
When I'm not off searching for underground-dwelling unicorns, I'm usually playing chess, having a drink with friends, reading a book, working on computers (aside from my current obsession with Breaking Bad :D), tinkering with a car, or y(j)ogging (super bonus points if you caught the reference!). I have a whopping good time people watching. So if you do, AND you caught the y(j)ogging reference, then super DOUBLE bonus points!
I can be shy at times (I feel) but most people say they never notice. A lot of conversation in life tends to be table talk, which is great, but for a significant other I yearn for a real, solid, respectful understanding of each others' points of view with lighthearted debates and banter. Woot!
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
McDonald's!!!! "Feel free to super-siiiiiiiiize" (Vandals lyrics, quadruple points if you know that too! :D) Really, Oftentimes, the location/activity is less important than the company for me, but to humor of POF, I'll say going for a long walk downtown and getting to know each other (no back-alley walks at night in questionable neighborhoods, I promise!) would be nice. Or tubing. Or having a drink to break the ice. Or picking blueberries. Thing is, I believe a good first date totally depends on the dynamics of the couple and their compatible interests.
