Well let's see, where do I start? I am an outgoing and hard working man looking to meet that someone special. I am old enough to know that things usually work out best when not forced so I figure that He will put Her in my life in His timing. I have to be honest, patience is something I need to work on (don't most of us?) but I am willing. I like to believe I possess a solid Christian foundation and understand the importance of love, family and friends and believe one can never have too much of any of the three. I attend the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas. Let me tell you, I am not a religious nut but know the inner peace and contentment a commitment to Christ can bring. I value friendships and believe it is through giving that one truly receives. I am one of the lucky ones in having a loving, close-knit and supportive family. I have one 'younger' sister who is married with three children (2 nephews and a niece) who all own a piece of my heart. I have never been married and have no kids. Many will ask why? Knowing how important honesty is to me, here is my answer. I made several bad decisions in my 20's and didn't have my life priorities in order. I tried to live the 'fast' lifestyle and learned many valuable lessons that molded me into the man I am today. If you decide to stop reading this right now, I understand but that is not who I am today. We all make mistakes, the key today is to make 'new' mistakes not the same ones over and over again. If you are materialistic and looking for "Mr. Moneybags", well, I'm not your guy. If you want someone of substance who puts others first, then keep on reading. I like outdoor activities but can be happy staying inside and relaxing. My passion is sports but understand if they aren't for you. I enjoy helping others that are less fortunate and one of my favorite sayings is 'you can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those that can do nothing for him.' When it comes down to it, I know if I keep 'you' happy, that will make me happy. I will look you in the eye when I talk because I owe that to you. I strongly believe the three most important phrases in the English language are "I love you", "thank you" and "I'm sorry" and know how to use each one. I try and approach each day with a focal point of 'decisions and discipline',knowing if I only practice one then I am cheating myself but if I practice the good in both, many will benefit. I work as a Security Supervisor at The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, a state-of-the-art facility that has changed the landscape of downtown Kansas City. I have been in charge of the Security Department since the $400+ million dollar facility opened in September, 2011. I love my job. I would say I make an average living but I always heard if you find a job you like and it doesn't seem like 'work', then you make more peace within than money may provide. I will open the car door for you and help you put on your coat. I will hold your hand in public and 'show you off' because you deserve it. I will be your 'friend' first and your 'lover' next.
