I am unsure about the online dating scene but I am giving it a go- hoping for the best. Who knows, the least that will happen is that I will meet some interesting people and try something new; maybe find my Queen or make a friend? While I am looking for a long-term relationship, I am also open to going out just to have some fun. I believe that relationships have to be nurtured and the strongest ones develop out of friendship.
The most important people in my life are my family and friends as they have never left my side. I have little time for people who are playing games as I am trying to start a business and choose to use my time to be productive and better myself. I however, can and will make time for the right person. Dating is a numbers game, but I would prefer to meet a few good women rather than a flock of girls.
I like women who are passionate, patient, considerate, good communicators, don't mind getting dirty and understand that life isn’t always easy and that sometimes relationships take work. I also enjoy being with people who are spontaneous as this encourages me to take chances and have new experiences. I am looking for someone to be my partner-in-crime, my confidant and lover.
I am fairly shy and somewhat awkward and reserved until I get to know a person- I don’t know why but I am and I want to be forthright. It should also be noted that I am also somewhat rough around the edges as I have been single and out of the dating scene for some time. However, I am very laid back and I tend to be a happy person with a good sense of humor that likes to go with the flow and have fun along the way. You can track my mood by watching my actions and expressions and I wear my heart on my sleeve. My tendencies are to say what’s on my mind. I mean no disrespect and I do learn boundaries, but this is why I prefer women who are patient, great communicators and who will put me in my place if need be. I am independent but sometimes needy as I enjoy having an emotional and physical bond with another person. I believe in respect and honor and I am very open about myself as I feel I have nothing to hide. Trust is a cornerstone in all of my relationships and I believe that if you can’t trust a person then you can’t truly love a person. While I do like to spend time with my partner I also understand the need to have freedom to have “your time”. I do not like leaving issues unresolved and is why I tend to like to talk through issues until a resolution is reached or at the least an understanding is reached (even if it means talking about it another day).
I have found religion is important to everyone whether you believe in God or not. So I added this to help clarify my position. I was raised as a Southern Baptist but now I am more spiritual than dogmatic. I believe the best way to demonstrate God’s love is to be loving and tolerant myself, and by allowing others to have their own views and to make their own choices. I believe that we will all answer for our own sins and all I truly care about is how my partner treats those around her. And that she allow me to continue my search for God- either hand in hand or on my own.
I strongly believe that the person I am with is far more important than the activities I engage in. However, I enjoy many activities to include almost anything outdoors- hiking, biking, camping, fishing, shooting, basketball, tennis, paintball, walks, BBQ/picnicking, gardening (learning), riding motorcycles and atv’s, off-roading and I am considering trying golf. I also enjoy watching movies/sports/tv and listening to music (all different types) with my loved ones. And yes I do play video games. I also follow politics and current events as I like to be informed. The food scene has in the last few years caught my attention and it has become important to me to try new cuisines- in or out. I have also enjoyed going to plays, the museum, and other cultural events. I would like to travel- I love road trips but I have not taken too many, as it isn’t the same doing it alone. Some of the places that I want to go are Alaska, Florida, Yellowstone, Utah and New Zealand.
