At some point in ones life this question is asked. Who am I? Do any of us really know who we are? We know who we want to be, we know who we think we are, but time and time again we fail to live up to both. We end up being that which we thought we were not. So I sit here and ask myself this very question. Who am I? I do not believe myself a good judge as to the character of myself. My actions, deeds, and kept promises speak of my character.
I could say anything or I could say nothing and both would remain the same. For I am the man you think I am, until I do the thing you thought I would never do. I will offer a description of this person I think i am. I will also offer a promise. If I fail to be that man I think I am then I will do what I can to right the wrong.
I am an honorable man. A man who would see his Khaleesi sit atop her iron throne, if that were her desire. I would fly to Endor and beg an Ewok; comfort my daughter in the darkness of night, if only she ask. I would travel to the event horizon of the biggest singularity, grasp my love, and step over the edge to spend eternity with her.
I am a dreamer, a pleaser, a seeker, a counselor, and a thinker. I live in the future, the past, and the present. I see it from your side, my side, and their side. I listen, I learn, and I cry. I am only a man and nothing more. I am neither smart nor dumb; great nor mediocre; poet nor writer.
I can not bring you happiness if you do not already posses it. I can not bring you sadness if you wish it. I can experience them both with you and enrich the happiness as well as dull the sadness.
These words describe the me I think I am. Caring, jolly, honest, loyal, punctual, honorable, hard working, goal oriented, nerdy or geeky or dorky depending on your meaning, insightful, unique, handsome, and wordy.
