So, I'm updating my profile just a tad. In the last year, I have purchased my first home and adopted a second dog from the shelter. I'm currently spending most of my free time working in the yard and learning all the responsibilities that come with being a home owner. I have a secure position in a good company. I'm responsible with my money. I have no children. I take care of myself and eat healthy, REAL food (plus dessert...I love dessert).
I'm interested in meeting a man who likes a strong woman. I have my wounds like the rest of us, but I have a great deal to offer the right man. If you are looking for someone for just a "good time" (sex), or someone who is always "upbeat" (to make you happy), please move on. I'm naturally a pretty up person, but I am a human being first and foremost and that means I am privy to feeling the entire scope of human emotions. At this point in my journey, I choose to feel them when they occur, versus stuffing them for a later date, or using something else like food, alcohol, TV, what have you to distract from them. If you are a man who can support this in a woman; and even better, in yourself, than you might just be the man for me. This concludes my update...
...and now on to my original posting :)
I'm sort of a Jill of all trades. I like to paint, play guitar, sing, DANCE, cook and eat (not all of which I do well). Yes, I am thin and I love food. I was blessed with a fast metabolism. :) I spent years in the theatre and still have the soul of a thespian and the heart of an artist, but I have a mind for business...go figure.
I rescued the cutest little puppy from the SPCA about a year ago and we go for daily walks around town or to the river. If you have a friendly dog, bonus for me!!
I've practiced yoga for over 10 years.
A list of some of my favorite movies: Dumb and Dumber (a classic), anything by Mel Brooks, The ShawShank Redemption, The Departed, The Wedding Singer, LOTR's Trilogy, Garden State, The Big Lebowski, The Never Ending Story, Gangs of New York, Big Fish, A Christmas Story (you'll shoot your eye out), Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, Inception, Moulin Rouge... I think that list sort of shows my wide range of film appreciation.
As for music, I do get obsessed with a certain new band from time to time - recently it has been The California Honey Drops. Long standing frequently played sounds are The Doors, Ray Lamontagne, Ben Harper, Tori Amos, Tom Petty, Jewel, Jackie Greene, Michael Jackson, Janis Joplin, G N' R and Dolly Parton. I love drum circles and will run towards them if I happen to stumble upon one.
I can and will be silly at times. So, if silliness makes you uncomfortable in any way, I'm not your girl. I'm also opinionated, passionate and sensitive. :) It's a good thing,
These are just a couple of insights into my world. If you want to know more, please ask.
Be fit, not like living at the gym (I don't personally like the gym), but active and healthy. I want to live a long and active life with someone.
Be smart - know that laughter truly is the best medicine.
And above all, have a kind and compassionate disposition toward your fellow human beings and the rest of life on the planet.
:0) I'm waiting for ya.
