About Me
I'm a regular gal but my taste, in most things, hovers around the path less traveled. I love my boys. They're good kids, good people. Good job mom :) But, I also know that I thrive when challenged by experiences that have little to do with an average life. That's where you come in.
I should add that I'm most at-home near or in the water. Lake water, river, ocean. Warm is good, too. I travel to Hawaii regularly and all my friends accept that I'm in the water more than out. Sunrise, with turtles everywhere, is the best time to be floating.
Yes, I went to college. I got a very useful BA in Sociology, with honors mind you, and thought I'd top it off with a minor in Humanities and French. Voila! I was destined to be a people-lovin street sweeper in Paris until I landed a spot in marketing in the early '90's and found I had a knack for it. Thank goodness. I detest sweeping.
Today? Working so I can quit working. Raising my boy peeps. Planning my next trip to the Big Island. Livin large and lookin for a good man to hold my hand.
My favorite movie scene is from The Bridges of Madison County but my favorite movie of all time is Blade Runner. I rarely go to movies but would like to go to more. Take me!
Favorite song today? Pearl Girl by Underworld. I like Neil Young to The Crystal Method. Music is huge for me. If you know Bibio - 5 gold stars and 10 extra points. My kids brought home dub step and I liked it. Chicago house and the newest genre, folk electronica, is pretty cool too.
Yep, I've traveled a bunch. Great stories from around the Globe; Norway to Greece, Berlin to Manzanillo, New Orleans to Tofino. Right now my favorite thing to do is swim with the Honu on the Kohala Coast.
I spend time thinking about whether or not I could spend the rest of my life alone. The answer is, yes, but I would prefer to find a life-traveling partner, for sure. And, will my kids end up growing weed for a living or become President? I suppose as long as they're happy and not hurting anyone, it's all good.
