Hello and thanks for checking out my profile! I know many would disagree but I think online dating can be fun if you keep the right perspective. Of course I'd love to meet someone in a more organic way but that seems difficult these days. When did we all get so busy?
About me... I'd say my most notable qualities are my ability to authentically connect with people, my sense of humor and my enthusiasm for life in general. I'm almost always up for a new adventure. I've traveled quite a bit in my life and think it's a great way to get a reality check on how lucky we are. I moved to San Diego about a year ago and am looking forward to putting down some roots. I grew up in NY and while I've lost the accent I retain a bit of that East Coast energy. Most of the last 20 years were spent in the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest. I'm still adjusting to the Southern CA vibe but definitely am digging the sunshine!
I work at a community health center and enjoy my job, although it is not the focus of my life. In my free time I take both a Spanish class (I am determined to be bilingual some day!) and an improv class just for fun. I love to read, spend time with friends and family and be active outdoors. I care about what's going on in the world and think we all can make a difference in some way.
I'm looking for a guy who is intelligent, curious and kind... everything else is negotiable. :)
Best of luck to you!
A simple coffee date is a nice start and if there's a click (so hard to predict ahead of time!), even better. I definitely like meeting sooner rather than later - I'm not a fan of long, extended e-mailing.
