About Me
I guess I should state that I grew up in CA, lived all over for 8 years and am now back in CA for more college. After that I don't plan on staying in CA again. I'm an east coast type girl and loved it in PA and VA. If I was to stay west coast it would be in northern Utah or Oregon. I'm just more of mountains and rivers where its really green type person. Due to my career choice I also plan on living in Japan again for a few more years.
I'm currently studying to become a Foreign Service officer in diplomatic relations. That is the goal I'm aiming for but things change. It's not the military so don't let that discourage you. I have MANY interests and part of my studies have been in renewable energy, child development and sexual therapy. Some fun classes I've done are in holistic healing and massage. Being exposed to culture, history, art, and music are all wonderful things to me. I love to travel and hate playing tourist when I do. I prefer to go off the beaten path, meet the locals, eat at the hidden gem restaurants, learn the local history. Some of my other interests are in yoga, new age, nature, animals, camping, surfing, sky diving and dancing. I love all types of music. I can be listening to rock one day, then country or christian the next. If it has a good tune I'll most likely listen.
I'm a really unique person and have been told that by many. I have such a wide range of interests that it's hard to fit me into a group. I have a huge heart for animals and the environment but I'm not a vegetarian. You can usually find me at a rally for causes I believe in. Working with sea turtles in NC, Earth Hour or working with cities to show more support for our troops. I'm a big kid at heart but believe in being serious when needed. I hope to find someone who is the same in that area. I still believe in old values though I get the most funny looks and questions about them. I love old world charm but have new age ideas and beliefs. I study everything from theology to myths to anthropology. Though I'm most interested in human relationships and their nature. You can find me dancing in a field at a festival in Oregon to Comic Con and then a suit and heels for work. I can rough it for a camping trip or project and then be in high heels and a formal dress talking with embassy representatives in Budapest, Hungary. Or my job as a preschool teacher and then turn around and work with military officials on family readiness issues. I'm a mom to an amazing little girl who I just know will be a force to be noticed in the world. No cheaters, liars, flirts, or anything that shames a person's honor. I believe a person's honor is what matters the most and the deeds he does in his life. I promise you, if you hold good qualities, you'll discover some things about me that will make you glad you took the time.
Also, I love being independent and expressing myself but at the same time I'm looking for someone who is more dominant. A man who believes in protecting those he loves, will stand up for, or isn't afraid to lead. I'm a firm believer that while we may evolve in some ways, those basic primal aspects are still ingrained in us. I'm not into men who keep their fridges stocked with beer all the time or still act like frat boys. Don't get me wrong, I can go out and have a good time and party with the best of them! Also, I'm not into men who are covered all over in tattoos and piercings. I fine with a few tattoos but piercings just aren't my thing. If you still dress like you're 16 or a thug then no thanks. I'm fine with an everyday look but not shirts consisting of chesty half dressed women, vulgar, or are disturbing things. Sorry but not only is it not attractive to me, I also have a little girl who I don't want seeing those things.

First Date
Some place we actually get to know one another. Dinner and a movie is fine but not ideal. A perfect date for me would be casual and laid back. Perhaps starting off slow like meeting at a coffee shop and getting a bite to eat. Walks through parks or local spots are personal and great. I just want to be able to talk and have a good time and really get to know the person. Though some things that I think make a fun first date would be mini golf, bowling, and dancing. Something to get us relaxed and having fun. Then afterwards something calmer like an ice cream or a small bite to eat. That way we'll both be more relaxed and still have time to talk. I hate dates that feel like interviews! I'm a pretty open minded person so if you have any ideas or like to surprise I'm all for that! Just be sure to let me know if I need to dress appropriately.
