I believe in God's will, he has a plan for us and everything happens for the best. Marriage is the meeting of two souls where timing and circumstance do play a role. I am ready to meet the "one" and start a family. I am an enigmatic personality who is passionate about life. I approach each day as a blessing. A typical fun-loving sagittarian who loves learning new things and meeting new people. I am extroverted by nature but have my introverted moments.
The search continues for my elusive soulmate. Where and when will I meet the the "one"? I will only marry if I meet the right person, shaadi is not a last resort but one of many options :) I have faith in the Almighty but I also believe in being proactive. Love is a mystery to me... Chemistry is extremely important to me, if it is present then things fall into place and it. When it is meant to be, the time and effort required comes naturally and the relationship results in marriage.
I value loyalty, love and commitment. Successful marriages are not built by having the same interests/hobbies or a certain profession. In the words of one of my favorite professors "You have to be able to do conflict". I envision having a modern marriage that maintains Punjabi cultural traditions. I would like to improve my Punjabi and will teach my children as well. Marriage to me is not an institution but family that I will co-create with my future spouse.
I am happy with myself; I know myself and am enjoying the direction my life is heading. I am very honest and have no problem expressing my opinions, ideas or emotions. Women can have it all but we cannot have equal portions of everything at the same time. Family will always be my first priority. I am currently back in school and the career path I am entering is very flexible. Many of my classmates are mothers who have gone back to school so it is possible. I have faith and confidence in myself. I also harbor political aspirations... maybe in 30 yrs or so. Politics is in my blood.
The only work I do is strictly Volunteering, I am not a social worker. Despite having a heavy courseload which I treat as a job, I like to contribute to the community in anyway I can. I will discuss future school/career plans in detail when we meet.
