About Brian
*******************************************************
Phone app may show me as "online" all the time. I may not actually be on. Don't want anyone thinking I'm ignoring them.
I can't "chat" via phone.
*******************************************************

When did common courtesy become a thing of the past?
If I write you, it took me some working up to do.
Please at least acknowledge that and respond (Even if not interested. I'm a grown man. I can take it.)

Hi there. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my profile.

A few things first:
The beard stays (or some incarnation of it will always be). If that's ALL you see, you've missed everything that is ME.
Yes, I am not tall. However, if my worth is based upon my height, then maybe it's not me who had missed a great opportunity.

Anyhow,

PLEASE feel free to contact me and force me out of my hesitance to contact first (the 2 reasons above are serious reasons why I am hesitant to reach out first).
I will respond most of the time (rarity that I don't). I am actually quite social and quite able to hold a conversation.
I'm just not that great at starting them.

The world is a wondrous place... why not enjoy it?

I've come to notice that people seem to think they know what they want from a partner in life... but I feel that if we shared all the same interests, opinions, etc, how much fun would that be? Diversity allows for opportunity.

To be honest, I'm not sure how to describe myself without sounding:
a. like it's total BS
2. that I am egotistical
#. that I am atypical

I was born in Providence, RI and transplanted to upstate NY at a young age.

I am full of bluster, humor, knowledge, pride, intelligence, and honor.
I am honest to a fault.
My word is my honor.
I like a good beer.
I love my family and friends.
I am diligently dedicated to those in my life. I live and die for my friends and family. I hold them in highest regard.

I am the eldest of 3 children. I am of Italian, Irish and Polish descent... meaning:
I like the occasional drink as well as an occasional fight (I do NOT mean physical, but an intelligent social discourse) and 9 times out of 10, I will kick my own butt.
And yes I can joke and laugh... even at myself. Smile. You'll feel better and you never know who's looking.

If there is anything you wish to know of me... Please ask.

Really. It is that simple. I won't bite. I promise.

While I have listed a lot of "interests" they are by no means even close to all of them.

The following, albeit a bit lengthy, is worth the read. It is one of my all time favorite quotes:

"The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them — words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they’re brought out. But it’s more than that, isn’t it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you’ve said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it. That’s the worst I think. When the secret stays locked within not for a want of a teller, but for an ear." - Stephen King

I hope my profile finds you well and you have enjoyed getting a glimpse into some of what makes me "me".

I do hope to hear from you soon.

Until then, happy fishing. May you find what you're looking for.

Brian

First Date
I would rather meet sooner than later. I feel that people need to communicate "in person" to truly get a feel for each other.

Text/messaging/emails is an emotionless medium that limits out abilities as humans.

Heck. We might have a ton of fun!
