Thanks for stopping by and reading a bit about me! I love life! My headline is the title of song by the Civil Wars, one of my favorite groups! My kids and family are very important to me. I laugh and enjoy life. I enjoy music, classical to country. I like playing board/card games and sports. I try to keep life in balance. I am laid back and yet, I can be very focused. I love my jeans and my boots (Thank God for "Jeans Friday" at work!!!) and dressing up for a special evening out! I love to laugh, appreciate a good joke, and witty humor. A well-timed, delivered pun is always appreciated.
I love Fall, iced tea, rainy days, the OKC Zoo, live theater and music concerts, football, giving a good massage, and kissing. I can cook, clean, and do laundry. My Mom taught me well!!! (It's ok to laugh here!)
Some of my friends would say that I speak from my heart. I’m knowledgeable and well-rounded about life and the world. I share my heart with the ones I love. I actually “talk with” people, not talk at them. I laugh, enjoy life, and try to keep it in balance. I like walking and talking with the ones who are my intimate friends. I am a good teacher. I have the “gift of gab.” I genuinely like people.
I am up front with people. With me you get what you see. Life is too short to play games with people. I’m not naïve about people and what motivates them. I am not much surprised by what people say or do. I believe in giving others the benefit of the doubt until they prove me otherwise. I don’t wear my feelings on my sleeve. I don’t go around looking for reasons to be offended.
I am a life-long learner! I want to see more of the world and the good ol’ USA.
I'm enjoying this stage of my life. My two kids are married; both within the past year. I keep moving forward, waiting to see what happens next! I read this quote the other day: "You don't have to know where you are going to be headed in the right direction." There is great truth and insight there!
I am creative in the use of words and writing. They do not come easily. Once in a while when inspiration hits me words flow and it is so cool!!! I believe in words. Words have power. Words can be life-giving and uplifting. Words have the ability to heal and teach. Words can open the way for friendship and love.
I can be counted on to stand up, to deliver, and be there when needed. I can ask the hard questions. I am good at thinking through situations, exploring the possibilities and outcomes. I can plan a course of action with backup contingencies and make the plan become reality.
I have an easy-going manner and ready laugh!!
I like driving with the windows down and the top open on my car and blaring my music, which most of the time is country music. I read history, but also mystery and fantasy. I like a good adventure movie, a love story, and animated films!!! Foodwise - I love Mexican, Italian, a good burger, steak (T-bone),and BBQ!!!
