Looking for a girl who breaks that Indy mold.
I'm originally from Idaho. I moved away from home in 2005 to go to college here in Indy. I'm very independent, pay all my bills, have my own place, and have my car paid off.
I'm currently working for Habitat For Humanity of Greater Indianapolis and in Greenfield. We're opening a Greenfield location soon and I'll be transferring there along with a promotion which I'm very excited about. I love my job, and wouldn't give it up for a cubicle job that pays twice as much. I'd like to stay in nonprofit if I can help it.
Spend a lot of time self-educating/reading/stumbling. I believe you shouldn't just stop educating after college. I'm addicted to podcasts at the moment, catching up on all my favorite NPR shows and listening to Neil Degrass Tyson's podcast. I'm into a lot of nerdy things. I enjoy table top RPGs, rolling a 20 sided die on occasion, computer games, collecting old games, etc.
I also sat on a sticker finding out later that it said "outstanding" naturally proving how outstanding my ***hole is.
Staying active and my diet are important to me. I love to cook, making a vast amount of different paleo-friendly dishes (really it's just meat and veggies).
I have one cat named Louie, who I adopted a few years back from the shelter. I figured everyone wants a kitten so I got him when he was 7 years old.
Rock/Metal (Pink Floyd, Primus, Black Keys, The Black Angels, Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age, Rammstein), Funk/fusion/Ska (Dead Kenny G's, Tom Waits, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, The Mad Caddies), Classical (Mozart, Stravinsky, Chopin, Shuman, Philip Glass)
Anything by Kurt Vonnegut (Sirens of Titan, Saughterhouse five, and Breakfast of Champions are my favorites so far), Frankenstein, Contact by Carl Sagan, Voltaire, Through the looking glass, 1984, Animal Farm, Anarchist Cookbook, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Really anything that's innovative, mind expanding, weird/Hunter s. Thompson-ish, or any sort of science (evolution and biology mostly).
I sit on my ass and watch too many for my own good and I often get carried away quoting them. I watch a lot of Independent, documentaries, Dark Comedies, and Horror movies. Short List: Natural Born Killers, A Scanner Darkly, Old Boy, House of a Thousand Corpses, A Clockwork Orange, Koyaanisqatsi, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Mystery Team, Humboldt County, Visioneers, Office Space, Idiocracy.
