About Me
Ah, the synopsis of me. I consider myself a fairly introspective person and this still seems a daunting task.
So let's jump right in.
I am an engineer by day, 18 years at Intel. But WHO I really am is an artist.
I have two published collections of poetry, have written and directed a stage play, working on a novel and a screenplay, plays upright bass, and is learning Portuguese.
I do not do all of these things at the same time. I just happen to have a broad array of interests. I would love to find out what yours are and give them a try.
I believe in living my life to its fullest. That includes finding time to swing in my hammock and watch some things on TV that do not feed any particular brain cell. The way I see it, I more than make up for it in other ways.
I have heard that my accomplishments are daunting. All I can say is that I feel about as normal as the next guy and I certainly don't consider myself above anyone else. I am proud of my accomplishments and I plan to finish my novel by the end of the year. That doesn't mean my socks don't get dirty
when I play.
I recently completed my Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing.
In addition, I recently watched all of the series Breaking Bad to date.
I like movies, theater, open air markets, antiquing (seriously, one look at my house will tell you I'm not trying to display a sensitive side for this profile. One of the great things about being grown and happy with yourself is being comfortable with HAVING a feminine side), sci-fi, dramas, dark humor, horror movies and the list goes on. In a nutshell, I have a strong imagination and I like it piqued. I feed it lovely things to nibble on.
I have seen too much in my life to waste time being judgmental. I'm not here to judge you by what's happened but to see where you are going. Bitterness and pent-up anger is a serious turn off for me.
I am a Southern gentleman. I know some women don't like their doors opened for them, so consider this fair warning. It is my first instinct.
I'm extremely easy to be around. I hear it often enough to believe it to be true. I am accepting, open, and not afraid of emotions, mine or someone else's. I am really looking for compatibility. We don't have to do the same things as long as we support and accept each other and have chemistry.
I don't want to change my partner. I want to share who we are and love each other.
As a writer, I can email and text forever... but I really don't want to. If we have enough of a connection, let's meet sooner than later. I am ready
for my real life to begin.
