So here's the deal, I'm not the most adventurous person out there but I've been known to be quite fun, honest and sincere with a good sense of humor. I've been told by friends/family not to initially reveal that I am an introvert but hey, who am I kidding?! I am an introvert; however, I am in sales and can appear to be extroverted for a finite period of time - then I need to head home, or to the ocean/park/good book, in order to recharge. My circle of friends is small and my family is close. I have a 10-year old Maltese dog named Harry but I'm not too obsessed with him!
I appreciate the simple things in life and am practical vs. material. I love animals, nature, good food, great movies/books, travel and talented/smart people. Being an introvert, I tend to be an observer vs. a participator - but I've been working to change that. The upside is I can be quite intuitive. I've never smoked a cigarette, joint or done and drugs and I don't drink very often. Sounds terribly boring compared to all the profiles I've been reading but it's the truth.
I'm of an age and an upbringing where I'm not a party girl, not promiscuous and I have traditional values when it comes to relationships and intimacy. Not looking for a hook-up. I was raised Catholic and went to an all-girl catholic school in Ireland until I was 9 and came to the states, but I'm not religious. I'm looking for a genuine and honest man who is open to an eventual relationship. My ex-husband was an alcoholic - so please, if you live to drink or drink to live, I can't do that again.
I used to be overly ambitious but I've recently made major lifestyle changes to create a more balanced lifestyle - join the 40's club, right! I watch more TV than I should but typically good programming like Homeland, Mad Men, House of Lies, PBS, etc. Taking up pilates and kettle bells to change up a boring exercise routine and making diet changes I should have made years ago - a work in progress.
I could ramble on as I like to write, but I'll sign off for now. Drop me a line.
