About Me
Hi there! Are you conscious, fun, loving, centered, and witty? Let's talk! Myself? I'm a t-shirt and jeans type on most days, but not afraid to break out the sundresses now that it's warmer! I'm very community and family oriented, health conscious, and love connecting with nature. We have the best of many worlds in the bay area, don't we? I adore the green around my home north of SF but love how easy it is to drive into the city for something fun. Dinners, festivals, people-watching, classes, shows... again, I love all SF's urban offerings. At the same time, I'm definitely a thinker, and so I really rely on nature walks and such to help me get out of my head occasionally. :)
What I think is unique about me is how well I can relate to lots of different kinds of people. I started my career as a middle school teacher, went on to get degrees in School Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, and now blend all that training with mind-body healing techniques in my work with parents & parents-to-be. So I like lots of different types of conversations, with adults or kiddos... ranging from soul-level "who are you" talks to everyday chats about music and movies.
I want to be with someone who is upbeat... someone who laughs easily & kindly, is active, and is solid in his own skin. Fun & lightness are both pretty essential, but at the same time I want to be with a man who knows how to approach challenges and come up on the other side of them, someone who can really show up when life throws something intense his - or our - way.
I am also really wanting, at this point, to be with someone who is interested in spirituality in some form or fashion, but who is interested in "regular" stuff too. I envision many circles of friends in our life, multiple levels of intimacy, doing projects around the house, communication, traveling, and being a family by sharing both the mundane and the majestic of life together... And jokes. I love a clever joke (or an eye-rolling pun) more than anything - if you can make me laugh, you are IN!
