Hello. My name is Yosh, and now that you're here I'm going to do my best to make this not sound like a job resume. Probably unsuccessfully, because writing profiles just sucks.
I am Spanish born but raised in the US. I spent 6 years in the military, did a year as a private contractor and then came out to LA for film school. If you can make sense of that career trajectory, you're probably the only one. I am a photographer (Proof!: http://www.modelmayhem.com/2983987), or fauxtographer depending on your opinion of my work I suppose. I also direct. And I write. And I produce. I guess I'm mildly serious about my career.
I have a year and a half old dog named Argo. I like to take him to a private beach in Malibu where I occasionally have to rescue him from rocks when the waves come too close. While we both love the beach, water is his mortal enemy. Bath times play out on a scale of physical conflict that rivals a world war.
I'm fairly easy going, absolutely love what I do (maybe not so much producing, but it pays bills), and am pretty happy with where I'm at. I love the outdoors, but quiet nights in are divine too. I'm a foodie and love to cook, I like to pick a different recipe each month and make that dish throughout the month until I've perfected it. I like to work out and stay in shape, but not a gym nazi by any means. I eat healthy, but there's been many a lost battle to the random slice of cheesecake. Slathered in chocolate syrup. With vanilla ice cream.
I love B movies and catch screenings of The Room anytime it's back in town. A friend invited me to go spear fishing recently and now diving has become a new goal, I could honestly care less about the spearing fish part. While the outdoors is awesome, I also like going out for karaoke, where I've been told I have a voice that would make the deaf bleed from their ears. I'm fairly positive singing is 90% ambition though, so here's to my dream of one day being autotuned like Ke$ha.
I feel like I did pretty decent on my earlier promise to not make this sound like a career resume. If you've made it this far and you're still interested, feel free to drop me a line. I promise I'm not an axe murderer, and yes I realize that's exactly what an axe murderer would say, but you can trust me. ...which is sort of also what an axe murderer would say. *sigh*
Apologies about all the 'selfies', but when you're a photog you spend 99% of your time behind the camera, not in front of it :(
Something easy, like meet for a drink or coffee; that way if you're an axe murderer we're not stuck on a really long, really awkward date.
