Born and raised in South America until age 10.
Half-Colombian, half-American, full Latin lover, bilingual, occasional coffee drinker, and non-cocaine snorter.
Was a vegan for two years until I got sick of watching animals having the audacity to walk around un-eaten.
Like to exercise and eat healthily to slow the ever-tightening grip of death.
Spend my time edumacating high schoolers attempting to give them the basics to survive in a Spanish-speaking place like Nicaragua, Venezuela, or Texas...
...and turning kids into little Beethovens on the side, minus the loss of hearing.
One of the things I usually get asked is: "So, what would you teach me?"
I would teach you the most romantic words ever conceived in Castillian. Words so evocative that their mere sound stirs your heart with profound longing and desire. Whispered in your ear, they would elicit a soft gasp followed by a deep blush and a coy smile.
And, then, when the moment and mood is just right, I would gaze tenderly into your eyes and utter the words you've long been aching to hear: "Take out your pencil and a sheet of paper. It's quiz time."
You should shoot me a message if you:
- are quirky, smart, and like to laugh
- are witty and enjoy wordplay banter
- speak another language or more (bonus points for Spanish &/or French)
- are bookishly geeky but maintain a semi-athletic lifestyle (willing to go swimming, bike riding, rollerblading, etc.)
- interested in salsa, merengue, bachata, & reggaeton
- live within a 20-minute drive
Picture this: the two of us on a slow, lingering, hand-held stroll along a moonlight-dappled path, the sounds of the shore playing lazily in our ears, your obsidian hair dancing teasingly in the tangy seabreeze as it gently blows past us, the twinkling sky spreading infinitely out before us as we follow our feet all the way to Wal-Mart for rock-bottom prices.
