About Me
About me in 100 words or less, huh? I'll do my best! Was happily married for 10 years, but catching your spouse cheating on you tends to change that! Oh well, I am better off and optimistic for the future. Spent 15 years as a firefighter/E.M.T. Helping others is important to me. After a back injury I am now going back to school to get my R.N. and then Masters- I'm thinking Physicians Assistant or N.P. I figure if I have to work I might as well be well paid! I love kids but have none (ex did not like children). My dog means everything to me. I play guitar (decently, I might add), read constantly, and love movies. I hike, go target shooting (not hunting), and spoil my dog with hugs. I am honest, loyal, and a great listener. Spiritual, but non judgemental. I value what's INSIDE you, not what you look like. But if I am being honest, looks and attraction are important, too. Oh, I like all music types. Rock is my favorite, with Pink Floyd being my favorite band. Not a huge fan of rap, but every once in a while I won't change the station on a Eminem song. I am very intelligent and some would even say I'm funny and witty. I am looking for the same traits in women. It doesn't matter how attractive someone is if you can't have a good conversation with them!

Also, I am not afraid of commitment or a serious relationship but right now I am looking for some relaxed, no stress dating. I just got out of a bad, long term relationship and I am in no hurry to rush into another one. In other words, I want to take things slow and have fun. If i meet someone and we just really enjoy each other then who knows, maybe a serious relationship will evolve. Also, I am NOT a "player" who is just looking for a one-night stand. (I know, a "player" would say that he's NOT a "player", lol, but I'm really, really not. I am illegal drug/disease free and looking for the same. Also, I have no criminal record (never even had a speeding ticket). I am just an honest, caring, loyal no "B.S." man who is looking for the same in a woman. First Date
A great first date? Well, we meet somewhere where we can TALK. Maybe have coffee or a glass of wine. We tell each other about ourselves and our lives. You know, we get to know each other a bit. Maybe have a light lunch. If we each feel a connection, then perhaps we can set a second date up sometime soon. Nothing too crazy. Dinner and a good movie, or maybe go see a band or a stand up comic. Just hang out together and relax. You have to let me pay for this second date. If we still enjoy each others company at the end of our second date, maybe I walk you to your door and give you a warm kiss on the cheek and a hug. I then bid you "Good Evening", and I leave. We call each other and plan a third date. Who knows where we go from there.
