I was born and raised in Michigan. Been in San Antonio since May 2011. I have a degree in Digital Media Design but as it turns out, it's more just an expensive hobby. I freelance as a graphic artist/character designer and photographer from time to time.
I work full time as a Veterinary Technician. I have been in the animal field for about 9 years.
I have two daughters. I really like it when people roll their eyes and ignore me, so I became a mother.
I am not a bar rat, I don't do the clubbing thing either. If I have time, a hole in the wall dive bar where I can shoot pool or darts is fine by me.
I like going to the gym but not a gym rat either.
Working with the e-cigarette at this point. So hopefully I'll be a quitter soon.
I love learning about outer space.
I love animals, better than most people. Dogs are more loyal than most humans will ever be.
I love turtles. They will get where they are going and seem to be in no hurry to get there. And they live longer than we do.
I am not looking to be ANYBODY's "princess" or "queen."
I have been single for 4 years by choice. I want to get to know someone, become friends first. I know every girl says that, then wants to move in with you 3 weeks later saying "I love you" but that is definitely not me.
Family and friends are very important to me. I make friends that become family.
Not looking to have any more kids, if you have kids that's fine but I do not wish to carry anymore.
If my body is a temple, why not paint the walls and do some remodeling? Tattoos, yes. Piercings, yes.
I am VERY open-minded, but I don't have to do all the things I don't have problems with to agree with them.
I love rain and thunderstorms.
Walking in the rain, dancing in the rain, watching/listening to it... I love it!
Places I want to see: Ireland, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Italy, France, Caribbean Islands.
I will have a motorcycle someday soon.
I'm a lot smarter than you think I am.
I love being outdoors. My kids and I go explore all over. Making up treasure hunts all over the city. Why not?
I favor cold weather over hot.
I love to watch hockey. (Red Wings fan)
I love taking pictures... Yeah, I'm THAT girl...
I sometimes swear too much.
People tell me I snore... I probably do.
The aurora borealis is the most beautiful thing you will ever see. (Northern Lights)
I like Grunge, the Blues, Rock (Classic, Alternative), Metal, some DUB, Reggae, some 90s hip-hop and most of the 80s.
Not big on most country and can't stomach most rap today.
I have a fear of sharks but really want to go scuba diving someday.
I'll never cheat on a significant other nor will I ever be an accomplice to adultery...
My perfect Sunday:
Outdoors! Hiking or walking nature trails, playing disc golf, picnic in the yard...
The movies I've watched the most times:
Boondock Saints, Fight Club, The Big Lebowski, Braveheart, Bill & Ted, Aladdin, and Finding Nemo
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
It's taken me 30 years to build a life history... and still counting. How can I sum it up in 5 sentences or less? I live regardless of what Murphy has in mind.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
I used to read encyclopedias as a kid so a lot of what I know is obscure.
I have a weakness for guys who:
Intellectually stimulating, tattooed, facial hair, funny and spontaneous.
For me, a first date no-no is:
Clingyness, lack of ambition, pet names
What I would bring to show and tell:
Something totally cool... believe it.
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
Why I am affectionately nicknamed Murphy.
I secretly want to be:
An X-Men... X-man...X-woman... you know?
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
Ok with not having more children. Someone who makes the best of bad situations. Who can find the beauty in the darkness.
An infatuation of mine:
Infatuation... The state of being completely carried away by intense unreasoning passion, often mistaken for love. That being said... it leads me to believe that to be truly infatuated with someone or something you shouldn't have to think about it... and here I am... thinking.
One thing my grandmother (RIP) would want you to know about me:
There are five things that you cannot recover in life:
(1) The Stone...after it's thrown
(2) The Word...after it's said
(3) The Occasion...after it's missed
(4) The Time...after it's gone
(5) A person...after they die
I always find this to be a silly question. Anything where you feel comfortable in your own skin as well as in the presence of a stranger. I like to step away from the cliches... pool anyone? I love it but I am terrible at it. Let's go play some disc (frisbee) golf during the day, or paintball. Nothing like some healthy competition.
I love the Japanese Tea Garden, I am still learning San Antonio so I don't know much about this city yet. But I intend to.
I love movies but movies on a first date seem dumb to me. "Sure let's sit in a theater for 2 hours and not learn anything about each other (other than what you like to drink & if you like butter on your popcorn) and go home and say 'Thanks, that was fun, we should do it again.'"
