The Bay is perfect for me because it vibes with the two major aspects of my personality: City Mouse and Country Mouse. A day at the museum and a day at the barn; gnawing on buffalo wings and picking blackberries on a hiking trail; dancing SALSA in 5" heels and tip-toeing barefoot in a field---it all feeds my soul. In a descriptive, hyphenated stretch of verbiage, I’d describe myself as a tomboy-in-heels-with-a-love-of-the-natural-world-a-fierce-sense-of-loyalty-and-multiple-funny-bones-who-can-whip-up-an-adventure-just-about-anywhere-ride-a-horse-like-I-shared-the-womb-with-a-saddle-and-make-jewelry.
I fancy myself the “Girl from Ipanema,” but I’m really a dork from back east. What qualifies me as a dork? For one, I've submitted photography of moths to Butterfliesandmoths.org just because I was curious as to what breed they were. "Captivating," you say? Keep reading.
CAREER/ WORK: I'm a marketing/ PR professional with a career in an industry that I love, but I'm still exploring and trying new things. Gotta thank that liberal arts, Ivy League education! Work isn't the be-all and end-all for me. There's a NEXT, it's big and it's coming soon.
A FEW OF MY FAVORITES: Obama won, so America wins!; seafood, bacon; Bossa Nova, Fela Kuti, The Roots, Radiohead, Jill Scott, The Smiths, classical Indian music, St. Germain, Stereolab, King Britt, The Foreign Exchange, Flying Lotus---LIVE MUSIC; New Girl, Saturday Night Live, NatGeo, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, Portlandia , the action/ adventure and horror genres, and documentaries; NYTimes, HuffPost, The Alchemist, The HP Series/ Twilight too, The Art of the Start, Women's Health, GQ, Elle...and now reading Power Thoughts...couldn't get through that Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.

First Date
Our first date could be at the California Academy of Sciences during their NightLife night on Thursday. Another option---rock climbing (which I have finally tried), and then grabbing a bite to eat. Or we could just meet up at a bar for some good bar grub and drinks. I'm open.
