I'm 26, down to earth, very mature for my age and very honest with very little tact. I do not like the high school drama/drama in general BS, sorry to say but if you need it to make your world go round don't message me. I understand there is obviously going to be some drama in every ones day to day lives its normal (to an extent) and I understand that. I like doing things outdoors like hiking, camping, rappelling but I also like relaxing on the couch watching television.I listen to pretty much everything except Jazz and Opera, the radio stations I normally have on are 99.1/106.9/92.5 (CT radio stations). I am still trying to find/narrow down the radio stations to listen to down here. I am most likely just going to get Sirius XM for the truck. People usually first notice my red hair as its not that common around these parts lol. I graduated high school and then went to New England Tech for Electrical and got my degree in that, also was in the military from 2005 to 2012. I was just shy of finishing my 8 year contract ( I look at it as a complete 8 considering I was only short like two months) when I was discharged honorably under medical conditions. I also have numerous DD214's that are for honorable discharges, you get one each time you come off active duty. I choose not to get a medical discharge as it would of prolonged things more then they had to and it had no benefit towards my situation. The VA benefits were and still are a lot better then what I would have gotten from the military. I'm not into the whole clubbing thing and only go to bars rarely, I would rather pick the stuff up at liquor store and hang out drinking with friends not in a crowded/loud place. I do not drink a lot either, mostly socially. I'm no sugar daddy, I am better off then most people my age ( I am very good with finances), however there is always someone who has it worse then you and always someone who has it a lot better off then you. As for me and religion, I am a non practicing roman catholic. That does not mean that I hate religion or look down on it. I did go to a private catholic elementary and middle school. I just don't go to church. Also, the only reason the pictures of the house and Harley are on here is because a lot of people were asking to see what they looked like, so to save time I just put the pictures up here. I am permanently retired because the Va and Government/Military said I had to be. I was an Electrician and Gunsmith in the civilian world. I used to work in the custom shop at Colt, Stag Arms and Marlin (before they were bought by Remington). So now I do some electrical and gunsmithing work on the side. I also train soldiers and police officers. If I am not doing that I am doing repairs/maintenance or upgrades/renovations to my house or my relatives homes. I stay busy, I am not the lazy type to sit in front of the tv all day every day. I do like to relax and watch tv and there are days that I am lazy and just clean, yard work and watch tv. Also even though I am disabled I can function just like normal. If you were to see me out and about you would have no idea that I was disabled.
I am looking for someone who is down to earth, caring, HONEST, LOYAL, you know the stuff that people are supposed to be brought up as so the world is a bit of a better place. lol. Seriously though I don't tolerate lies or cheating, if you cant be honest with your significant other then there are things that you need to work on personally. I guess because I am brutally honest (to a fault) and don't have a cheating bone in my body, I expect to be given the same kind of courtesy in a relationship. Someone who likes to have fun, outside and inside. Someone who will keep me in check, lol. Etc I am sure you get the picture.
If it takes a couple days for me to respond to your messages, I do apologize but I do have a life outside of POF. Along with if its nice out I'll probably be out on the Harley. I try to respond to all messages, if I have not responded its not personal either something happened or I am just an idiot. lol. Also I do try to send out a message a few days to a week after I send my first message to a person just as a follow up. NO I am not stalking you or trying to harass you, just doing a follow up. Weird, maybe but I like to be thorough. I do not respond to first messages that are one to two words. I have provided plenty in this profile for you to provide at the very least a full sentence for a first message.
Also, Yes I am a disabled vet. Yes I am the one driving the gray F-150 with the combat vet sticker. I am not looking for one night stands or flings or a friend with benefits. I am at and have been at the point where I want to settle down and am just trying find "her" (cliche and corny I know) but that is what I want and am after. Yes I live alone in my own home and am retired (by working my ass off). Anything else, just feel free to ask.
Random Personal Fact: For years I lived within a mile of the house that the film "Haunting in Connecticut" is based on.
Anything really, I'm not that picky. Only stipulation is that it not be a place that hinders the talking/getting to know each other part of it. It is not a good thing when silence falls upon the date, so I try to keep it where you can talk normally and freely.
