-I like to travel. A lot. Spontaneously. Can't see this changing anytime soon.
-I crave activity and high energy. Moving places. Exploring. Used to race my bike and skis professionally. I'll always stay fit but no longer have the need to compete every weekend.
-I work hard and am very fortunate to do what I do career wise. It might sound boring at first, but I can spin it to make it sound significantly more romantical (this is a word in my mind).
-I love finding new/random music. We have access to music like never before; what is the point of listening to the same popular songs all the time?
-Not afraid of showing affection. I'm warm blooded, i'll admit it. Kissing police be damned.
-Positivity. Smile. Good vibes.
-Not afraid of adventure or randomness. If you have the travel bug, bonus. I realize not everyone has the ability to fill a passport with visas (I haven't, yet), but this is an easy convo starter.
-Not expecting to come across someone who pins on a race number all the time but shouldn't be allergic to some level of physical activity.
-Motivated, driven. I don't mean having it all figured out (if you do have it figured out, share your secrets). I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up ;).
Honestly, I consider myself a pretty outgoing guy, not shy to say hello and introduce myself. I guess my strategy as of late is causing y'all (home town roots are hard to hide...) to raise your guard as I don't think this is the norm in this fair city of ours. Meeting people through POF isn't that bad; small chance I would have run into you otherwise (unless you'd recognize me in an airport terminal in, lets say Brussels airport), perhaps a connection between us is out there...
When it comes to meeting for the first time, it's pretty easy to tell quite soon how things will progress. Nothing too complicated or too lengthy (unless we really hit it off) is usually good. A leisurely cruise around Stanley Park, the seawall, followed by a quiet stop for coffee or tea are high on my list of first "dates".
Or we can throw caution to the wind and go for some good old fashioned adventure...Grouse Grind then run down the Skyline trail at a breakneck (or should I say ankle) speed? Hike up to the Lions? Ride to Point Roberts, buy a pack of Orbit Gum and then ride back? Sail to the Sunshine Coast (you would have to show me how)? Lengths of Kits pool (this is a terrible idea for a date I realize)? Show up to a salsa bar (does this exist in the city?) and make fools of ourselves trying to dance with the regulars?
