Imagine you’re on a bus, in Bolgatanga, deep in the savanna in northern Ghana. The alcohol you smelled on the driver’s breath is having its affect, as he’s honking into oncoming traffic to pass rusty Volkswagens and herds of goat (while cursing them in Twi)… Dust enters your nose and you cinch your seatbelt a little tighter, but all you can think about is: “Maybe I shouldn’t have eaten the squirrel kebbab last night”, and “God I hope I make my 5pm flight in Kumasi with all my limbs intact”…
Long story short, yes, I made the flight… And no, I’ll never eat another squirrel kebbab again.
Konnichiwa, ladies. If you shamelessly looked at my pictures before reading this sh*t, then I like you already, and we likely will get along famously ;)
Anyway, a bit about me:
Monday through Friday, I’m a wireless technology ninja, defending “the people” against broken cell phones and outrageous bills. Wielding my calculator like a set of flaming nunchucks, I cause big cell phone companies to quiver with fear!
I’m not sure if it’s the trying new things or the idea of getting really good at something that’s more exciting, but I think it was my passion for both that led me to become an entrepreneur a few years ago. I had some false starts and failures in the beginning… but once things click, they click. Before you know it, you’re living life without a boss and things just keep getting better. I miss that sh*t and am currently in the process of making a comeback.
Not to say having goals to meet doesn't keep me on my toes, but I do make time for relaxing with my friends and calling my family. A couple glasses of red wine, lots of laughing and a bit of dancehall music will loosen me up for the weekend, though I don’t need a lot of wine to have a lot of fun. Waking up naturally on a Saturday morning, without an alarm, putting on my jersey and cleats and rounding up my friends for an epic soccer match at Robinsonwood Park in Bellevue is probably my favorite way to get in touch with the lighter side of life.
I share my bedroom with a neglected 64-key electric piano named Ruby, who is loyal and past her prime, but I like playing her when the inspiration is right.
As for the kind of woman I find attractive… she’s got a down-to-earth attitude and knows how to get the most out of life, right now. She laughs generously, has a worldly outlook on life, and a sense of humor with a touch of raunchy ;)
Warning: if you can’t hold onto a conversation about more than what Brad and Angelina did last summer, we’re not the best match. On the other hand, if you know what you want, and aren’t afraid of having a ton of fun while going after it, send me a message and let’s chat…
Call me Teiko.
