I like doing a million different things....listen to a lot of audio books, grow fruits and vegetables, can cook almost anything, or try at least, make all kinds of things, paper, paintings, jewelry, soap, pasta from scratch, you name it....I like big cities for the culture, museums, libraries, etc. but I also love nature and slogging around in the underbrush and watching the hawks and the critters as well; I need a balance of both: a city as well as a country mouse.
I'm talkative and bubbly, and positive. Better at relationships than dating.
I like all different kinds of music, not so much punk, rap, classical, more funk, blues, vocalists, more melodic jazz. rock, pop, soft rock, alternative.....love vocalists and sax, the human voice. I like movies, especially Independents. I like other Creatives as that is who I am and then we understand each other. I love people and their life stories, and supporting other people's talent and genius. I like children and have kids in my sphere that I spend time with. Not really into sports per se. I have liked to be active in my life, but I'm not competitive, so watching sports, and putting on special bike gear, stuff like that, not so interesting to me. Always liked things that aren't competitive, like roller skating along the Beach in Santa Barbara (used to live in SB), riding my bike, ice skating, hiking around amongst horses and cows, shell collecting along the shore... I'm into being healthy and eating real food, and am a bit of a foodie.I'm energetic and youthful and was married to someone seven years younger than me which felt normal for me.I'm okay with someone who is maybe fifty, but all these really young men hitting on me is a bit absurd. Not going to date someone my kid's age, lol. But I also don't want to date someone who looks older than my Dad did; that would just be creepy.
I like smart people who appreciate intelligence. I love books; libraries are an essential part of my life.
Ultimately would love to find someone to partner with. I end up spending more time alone because I don't like shallow interactions, I don't need to be entertained....Would prefer to be in a relationship where we support each other, have a cuddle buddy and lover and have each other's backs and help each other navigate through our lives. I'm pretty down to earth and would rather tend a garden than run around looking to be entertained.
geez...who knows; I think it probably depends on the two people on the date, and what they like to do. Mostly I need to talk to someone; see who they are, what do we share? what's different? what's the same? what's interesting about that person and take it from there...... I like to talk, and go for walks, and ask a lot of questions, usually conversations tend to flow.
