Well, might as well jump in, so here goes. I'm a very easy going, easy smiling, kind-hearted, intelligent, athletic, hard-working, stand up individual looking for his counterpart to have some fun with and stir up a little trouble :). I tend to be a relationship kind of guy, so I'm also very committed.
I've recently relocated back to the Mitten, and looking to re-integrate myself back into the social masses again. Prior to coming "home", I've spent the last 8 years in California and Illinois coaching and mentoring some of the country's top amateur athletes. Still coaching (hockey) and working as a hockey director with a nationally competitive program, I also work at a Children's Hospital helping kids with neurological/physiological sleeping disorders. I absolutely love both of my jobs.......I'm very lucky to be able to help kids every day while doing something I truly enjoy :-). On top of being extremely rewarding, I will use my experience to help me through P.A. school once I start. I truly have a passion for medicine and would love to treat/help kids as a lifetime career.
I have two dogs (small horses, actually) at home.....both are my book ends when I'm there ;). When I'm not at work, I like to spend time with friends and family, and soak in some atmosphere with the occasional night out. Certainly don't mind the bar scene and/or mingling, but when I'm out I usually just stay low key and keep to my herd.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
Hmmmmmm....let's see.....I think it totally depends on the person you intend on spending time with. Obviously, dragging them into a situation/atmosphere where they are uncomfortable or un-interested is just plain silly :). Personally, I like to try to keep things different than the norm....find a place to go wine tasting, spend some time downtown, go bowling, try some form of food we never would have otherwise eaten, etc. I think just wandering around and throwing darts in different directions to see where we end up would be fun. A first date should be fun and give us a chance to get to know each other....experiencing something new together would be a blast!!
