About Me
My hobby is my job. Boats have been my life for 35 years: building, conulting, designing, rebuilding. I've even designed the marina I run. I've had a side hobby of professional bicycle racing, which afforded me the opportunity to carry the Olympic Torch and race all over the East Coast. I've tried to get back into it but years have taken their toll on my focus and desire. I can be very focused and easy to talk to with an easy going opinion. I could talk about my quirky, sick sense of humor but I'll let you find that out for yourself.
The best thing I've done in my life is bring my son into this world. He's my quiet friend and grown into the man I knew he would be. Both he and I love to cook. He's a chef and we challenge each other at the grill. I listen to most kinds of music just keep me away from rap and music without a meaning.
My hope is to do more traveling as I did when I was younger. I love the Southern states and would love to travel down to the beautiful cities of Savannah and Charleston, although the small towns interest me a lot - they have such charm. It would be nice to have a like-minded traveling companion to do it with.

First Date
First date....we're unsure of each other and on egg shells not wanting to say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing. I say make it simple. Lunch that takes till dinner. Take a long walk and get to know each other. Arrange a second date if the first was a success with dinner maybe on one of my boats. Watch the sunset with a glass of wine at the dock and talk. Be aware that the cell phone is my worst enemy ... if you have to be on it all the time then I'm wasting my time, Make a commitment to turn it off and I'll make it worth it to you. I have been raised as a southern gentleman; women are to be treated with respect. So don't be upset if I open the car door, fasten your seat belt and lock your door.
