My name is Tom and I'm 35 years old. I like to be outdoors, whether it's golfing, fishing, playing tennis or just going for a walk. I am very close with my friends and like to get together with them whenever possible. I love making people laugh, and love having fun (who doesn't?) I think it's key to have fun at every aspect of life. Currently I work as a manager at a retail sports store. I would eventually like to teach history either at a high school or college level.
I am nice guy looking for a sweet girl who can go from spending the night out doing whatever to spending the night on the couch cuddling. I love being outdoors so it's definitely a plus if you do too, especially if you like going to Phillies' games. Not only am I looking for a girlfriend, but someone I can call my best friend as well.
My favorite band hands down is U2. My favorite genre of music is country. When I'm in my car, the radio is either on WPST, 104.5 or WMMR.
I couldn't say what my favorite movie is. I tell people it's Boondock Saints, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotted Mind, or Fight Club. I like to watch movies so I can't pick just one. I enjoy comedies like Wedding Crashers, Caddy Shack, Dodgeball..etc. I'm a guy so I like movies that have things explode..."insert random action movie here." However, the movies I enjoy the most are ones that move me. Crash is definitely in my top ten, along with Marley and Me, and Shawshank Redemption. I like movies that have a point, if you get my drift.
My choice of TV is about the same. I like anything on the Discovery, Travel, or History channels. Sunny in Philadelphia is definitely one of my favorite shows on, followed by Rescue Me. Always for a good laugh, South Park and Futurama. The Game of Thrones is my new drug.
I try to learn something new every day. I like to know how and why things work the way they do. Knowledge is something I'd rather have and not need, than need and not have.
I'm not a huge book reader, but I'm a big Dan Brown fan. I also just got into reading Chuck Palahniuk, he's the guy that wrote Fight Club. I've also read most of the Game of Thrones series A Song of Ice and Fire.
I like the idea of a coffee date. Just to sit down, talk and get to know each other. If we hit things off, then we can set up a full date.
