My name is Tom and I'm 35 years old. I like to be outdoors, whether it's golfing, fishing, or just going for a walk. I am very close with my friends and like to get together with them whenever possible. I love making people laugh, and love having fun (who doesn't?) I think it's key to have fun at every aspect of life. Currently I work as a manager at a retail sports store. I would eventually like to teach history either at a high school or college level.
I am nice guy looking for a sweet girl who can go from spending the night out doing whatever to spending the night on the couch cuddling. I love being outdoors so it's definitely a plus if you do too, especially if you like going to Phillies' games. Not only am I looking for a girlfriend, but someone I can call my best friend as well.
When it comes to music I'm fairly open. I do not like rap at all, however it's no deal breaker if you do. My favorite genre of music is country. When I'm in my car, the radio is either on WPST, 104.5 or WMMR. My favorite band was named after a spy plane.
I couldn't say what my favorite movie is. It's either Boondock Saints, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotted Mind, or Fight Club. I love to watch movies, so I can't pick just one. I enjoy comedies like Wedding Crashers, Caddy Shack, Dodgeball..etc. I'm a guy so by default I like movies that have things explode..."insert random action movie here." However, the movies I enjoy the most are ones that move me. Crash is definitely in my top ten, along with Marley and Me, and Shawshank Redemption. I like movies that have a point or a message.
My choice of TV is about the same. I like most things on the Discovery, Travel, or History channels. Sunny in Philadelphia is definitely one of my favorite shows, followed by Rescue Me. Always for a good laugh, South Park and Futurama. Game of Thrones is my drug.
I try to learn something new every day. I like to know how and why things work the way they do. Knowledge is something I'd rather have and not need, than need and not have.
I'm not a huge book reader, but I'm a big Dan Brown fan. I also just got into reading Chuck Palahniuk, he's the guy that wrote Fight Club. I've also read most of the Game of Thrones series A Song of Ice and Fire.
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
I like the idea of a coffee date. Just to sit down, talk and get to know each other. If we hit things off, then we can set up a full date.
