I've been living in Kaneohe on Oahu since March - coming from Seattle, it's been a serious change for me, especially this whole "Sunshine" thing that everyone keeps raving about.

I love the outdoors - snowboarding and skiing in the winter, diving and hiking in the summer. I participate in fun runs, such as the annual Zombie run in Seattle or Mud runs, I've done half marathons before - I'm not a marathon runner(my best time was because I refused to get passed by a 7 month pregnant lady that was gaining on me)I like to travel - just drive and see whats out there - I travel to the Seattle and Portland areas often and enjoy meeting unique people who are comfortable in their own skin. I've also been all over the world, with many experiences from a wide range of countries in Asia and Europe. I also love to cook - watching another person's reaction to what I've prepared keeps me in the kitchen quite a bit - I like to experiment and good or bad, it's always fun to have someone to cook with and share a meal with.
I enjoy all different kinds of music, including rockabilly, country, and alternative.I go to concerts often up in Seattle area and prefer the smaller venue gigs - they always seem to turn out better than huge concerts. I read quite a bit, and prefer someone who is intelligent enough to carry on a conversation.
I'm looking for friends first, with dating included - hopefully a relationship ensues, but that's what dating seems to be for.

Slightly quirky, funny and outgoing, with a sarcasm streak a mile wide - I have a current ongoing torrid love affair with coffee that I refuse to give up for anyone. Part time insomniac and sometime shambling coma-type zombie (see coffee, lack of) I am loyal to a fault with friends and family. I am the type of person who will brighten your gloomiest day or bring a flashlight to your darkest mood with a smile or a simple conversation.
Looking for the type of woman who is financially, mentally, and emotionally stable (I can accept a little bit of crazy - but getting chased down the street by a naked woman swinging a bat does not constitute mentally stable)She has to be her own person - by this I mean she needs to have her own opinions and her own life, a relationship is built on the merging of two separate lives, not you taking mine as your own.Kids are perfectly fine - I don't have any, but would like to eventually - I'm not looking to replace a father figure, but acceptance from them is important to me if there is going to be a long term relationship.

First Date
First date? This kind of depends on the type of woman I'm taking on a date - it all depends on who she is - some enjoy a quiet meeting at a nice coffee shop, others at a nice restaurant - some at a rousing pub or bar. Possibly even a scuba diving date or skydiving for the more adventurous women.
