About Me
.I’m, in a word, sweet. Really: I am. My sweet tooth is way bigger than you’d ever suspect, given my average size. I love sweets, and I’ll try almost any kind. The only thing better than dessert is bacon — except, possibly, dessert with bacon. Lest you think I may overdo it, relax: I’m a type-1 diabetic, so I need to watch what I eat. (I told you I was sweet.)
When I’m not debating which chocolate fondue is the best at The Melting Pot (Flaming Turtle? No, Bananas Foster. Yin Yang!), I love to travel. I try to get to Disneyland at least once a year. I’ve been to Key West, Alaska, Hawaii, Portland, Seattle, Vegas, Nashville, the Bahamas, Cancun… I’ll be going to New Orleans and the Caribbean soon. On my wish list: Australia, Europe, New York, DC and Panama.
I love to crack jokes and keep people happy and laughing. That said, I’ve always been “the level-headed one” among my friends; I know when it’s OK to be fun and when it’s time to be serious.
What don't I enjoy? I like to snowboard, exercise, surf, go river-rafting, go to concerts, volunteer, go to conventions, read, go go-karting, watch movies… archery, shooting, hiking, travel are great, too. I love to try new stuff.
I worked for 4-1/2 yrs at a pet store before my current job. Besides finding a more career-oriented position, I had to leave because I wanted to bring all the critters home. I love animals and enjoy caring for them.
I’m a CNA (certified nursing assistant). I help nurses care for their patients by assisting with daily things some patients can't do such as walking, being cleaned, eating, etc. I've worked at a hospital since March of 2012.
If you ask me (of course, you would, right?), my former job and my current career illustrate the kind of person I am: very kind, smart and friendly. I’m a quick forgive, and my easygoing, laid-back nature keeps drama out of my life.
I’m looking for someone who is funny, likes to travel, likes animals… someone who is kind, self- motivated, family-oriented, smart. He’s not afraid to speak up for himself and knows what he wants out of life. Athletic is good, but so is a little nerdy; I don’t mind tattoos (I have one). Bonus points if you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty with household projects; I’m certainly not!
Lastly, but importantly: I’m very close with my small family. If you’re close to yours as well, we’re off to a great start. That’s important.
Think you might like me? Let’s meet over a bacon sundae and chat.
