Being a musician and music teacher, I do not meet many people around my age in the real world. In music groups, most of the other musicians are either younger or beyond a decade older. As a music teacher, I basically only meet fourth through sixth graders, their parents, and, occasionally, other music teachers. It would be nice to find someone who is interested in exploring beyond any confines.
I believe actions speak louder than words. I have always enjoyed building, deconstructing, and fixing things; whether making Lego creations, building three-dimensional puzzles, or having the most fun ever dissecting an old printer. I also like playing board, computer, strategic, video, and word games. There will always be a place in my heart for biking, horseback riding, ice skating, rollerblading, and swimming, as I grew up with these activities. I love the plethora of feelings from various activities, including, but not limited to, kayaking, rock climbing, attempting to play soccer, and trying to surf. I also exercise by nocking and shooting arrows (archery) and drum corps activities. I explore places by driving obscure backroads, finding new food-related places, going wherever the road takes me, impromptu roadtrips, hiking, and traveling to foreign countries. I definitely have a sense of adventure, as I boldly go where no me has gone before.
Despite my adventurous side, I'm still classy and love art and science museums, black and white films, the theatre, and so forth. I believe art is the best way to express yourself, and use culinary arts, music, photography, and writing as mediums.
I am the type of person who likes to have a general plan to ensure productivity, but leaves a lot of wiggle room for the unexpected, random, spontaneous adventures and aspects of life. It may take a while to find the right path, but once found, I will stay on the trail, no matter how tough, until a change of direction is required. In other words, I am adventurous, curious, open-minded, analytical, focused, decisive, and ambitious. I would mention my Myers-Briggs personality, but it is always changing due to being pretty much in the middle of every category.
I go to school in San Francisco, am an elementary school band teacher in Fremont, play in a few bay area music groups, volunteer on Chabot Space & Science Center's Observatory Deck, and am working towards a private pilot license via flight lessons in San Jose. I am just enjoying the journey to where life takes me, while always discovering and learning more about myself and the universe around me, and hope to give back to those who have given me so much.

I am looking for someone who believes in basic and small gestures of respect. This person should ideally be eager and willing to openly explore outside of themselves, yet still remember life lessons contributing to who they are today. If you feel we might be a good match, just send me a message.
