About Me
Warning: Sarcasm is my default position -- I suppose that's a result of being the 'before' picture for a weight loss/extreme makeover ad! If you don't like big girls, you should hit your back arrow right now ... save yourself the work of reading any further, cuz it seems that despite my efforts, I'm just meant to be this way :) And, if you don't like sarcastic humour, I'm really not the girl for you! I know it can put some people off and that's something else I've learned to live with.
Seriously thoughl, I'm devoted to my family, my friends and would love a special man to devote myself to as well. I adore my pets (2 cats, a dog and an accidental guinea pig) and would want to find someone who can appreciate them and their value in my life. I can get lost in a good book or just jump in the car and take a road trip for the hell of it. I love to laugh and think that life is too short to take really seriously all the time.
The picture I have here is now a bit dated now and I need to upload something more current. I'm hoping to get something decent out of the multitude of pictures that were taken at my brother's wedding a couple of weeks ago. There may be a baby in some of them, but she's not mine ... she's my niece whom I love unbelievably. I enjoy spending time with her when I can, but I have to admit that I have no interest in having children of my own. My four-legged 'babies' are as tied down as I want to be. (Again, if that's a deal-breaker, you should click that back arrow :))
When the summer's here I love to camp (usually either before school gets out in June or after it's back in in September - fewer people, so I can enjoy the peace and quiet)! I spend a lot of time outside in the nice weather - doing work on the house or just hanging out on my swing reading or listening to music. If you found my MP3 player, you'd be baffled by the different types of music on it - everything from Aerosmith and Nickelback to the soundtrack from 'Annie' and even Dolly Parton!
I recently went on a cruise to Alaska and loved the beauty of the area - so much like BC which is where my heart is. Is it weird to think that trees and rocks are beautiful?? Oh well, call me weird - wouldn't be the first time!
In the winter I prefer to hibernate (pretty sure I was a bear in a past life) .... I love the cold and snow, and particularly like that it gets dark early and stays that way into the later hours of the morning. I know that most people hate that, but somehow it makes me feel safe and comfortable. Winter is a great time to catch up on movies and tv, so I do a lot of that. I adore horror and suspense movies and dark tv shows -- can't wait for the new season of The Walking Dead!! I also enjoy comedies ... The Big Bang Theory is such a riot, but I really don't like what I call 'stupid funny' (I've outgrown most of the gross types of humour).
Well, that's a lot about me. If you're still reading this then I guess I have to wonder what's wrong with you! lol If you are, though, I think it would be good to get to know you .... you obviously have GREAT taste!!
