FYI Ladies...A guy can be self-confident and still be intimidated by the expectations he may think a woman has! It isn't about how we feel about you, it is about "Am I good enough for her?" That can be an intimidating question when it comes to picking someone.
Wow...another one of these things to fill out....Yes I have filled out a dating site or two, but that is because I am truly looking to meet someone to complete my life. My life is perfect by no means, but I have a wonderful son, my home, and a few good friends. (When it comes to smoking...I am a social smoker. I don't want to do it anymore, but it comes out when I am around other smokers. One to two a day is now my average...I want it to be zero. That being said, I don't mind smokers...I understand the addiction)
* Update- completely down to an electronic cig only...woohoo! I don't mind smokers though.
I am quick witted and a huge smart ass when I become comfortable. I have a problem with trying to please everyone....it never seems to work. I am moderate liberal when it comes to politics...my father is gay, so being a republican was never an option..LOL. I mentioned that fact early because that has shaped me into who I am..I don't judge people based on any specific categories. You are who you are. I am a firm believer that we are who we are based on the people that have had an impact in our lives...whether they had a positive or negative impact.
I am looking for a Strong minded woman that is physically active and will push me to my limits across the board. I dont mind a good discussion. I like a woman that throws on a pair of gloves, tosses me a shovel and says we have work to do. I cook, clean, do laundry and work in the yard....I do not iron, wash windows, or sew....(I may be Mr Mom with tattoos, but I am being honest...Check out the dust on my windows if you dont believe me....LOL. They get done about once a year)
I want someone that will drag me camping, hiking, cycling....push me to do things that I would not do when it is just my son and I. i want someone that will say "pack a few things, we are getting lost this weekend."
I have learned the value of leaving little notes around or giving flowers, but also want someone that will not take those things as expected routinely and ultimately take them for granted....It has happened to me before.
Being a single parent, I am surviving like most. I have my own home in a wonderful little town in ohio. It is a great place for kids. I work 40-50 hours a week for a medical device company. It is nothing special...Stable vs unstable is a perception......I dont drive a brand new car, go shopping every weekend, or travel to exotic locations (i would like to though lol)....but I do have my own home (which I try to improve on everyday), pay my bills, put food on the table, and take my son to the zoo, waterpark, pool, and dinner. I live check to check, so if that bothers you, then don't bother me.
FYI...I hate rejection...I am not a shy person, but won't always message first because I am afraid of whether or not a person may be too good for me. Just saying..Oh well. Happy Hunting!
I am a book, movie, food, and music junkie. I read about a book every other week. Each author is different. Movies always depend on a person's mood. I like suspense drama, but my second favorite movie ever is the Notebook....so whether it is Memento or The Notebook, I can will always enjoy a good movie.
Music....I like a wide variety. I listen to Jason Reeves, Smashing Pumpkins, Cage the Elephant, Creed, Silverchair, Arctic Monkeys, Stone Temple Pilot, Dave Matthews, Dmx, Jay Z, ...see, a wide variety

Realization of what I am looking for:
So after talking with a friend today, I realized exactly the personality I want...If you are a fan of the show Dexter...we have come to the realization that Debra Morgan from that show would be my perfect match. When you can say what she says and not come off like white trash, then you are a rockstar. (Youtube her if you don't know)
I am looking for the genuinely nice woman who is downright dirty in the head...It's just the truth...feel and say whatever you want about...Family life is great and sex is great...I want the best of both worlds, so go ahead and complain if you don't agree. Bring out arstists, tattoo artists, cops, photographers, writers, nurses, doctors, scientists, and philanthropists....that should cover it lol. I may be timid, but I am a mental lion when comfortable. Need someone who can keep me in line or push the bar to new levels.
What I find attractive:
1) Eyes are the number one consistant feature that keeps me staring. Uniquely beautiful eyes make my eyes water, my heart skip, and just leave me wanting more.
2)Hair color no longer matters...used to drool over italian brunettes, but I have branched out. (I think that started because of an attractive actress with red hair who suddenly went blonde and then brunette...I was attracted to all three looks.)
3) Liberalist who cares about taking care of those who are in need...especially kids.
4) Tattoos haves started turning me on...strange one. I have several, but keep the professional look. I often think I am too innocent for the typical tattooed lady, but, sexy is sexy. (Like several other things, I have multiples myself.)
