I really wish there was a better way to find someone other than online dating, but since this seems to be how it's done in this day and age, I have decided to go with it and put myself out there. So here it goes. I would describe myself as compassionate, driven, patient, funny, humble (which make this part difficult), easy to chat with, and a young 40.I spend most of my time with family, friends, and hanging with my dogs (no pun intended...OK maybe). My sister is my best friend, and most of my friends have been around for so long they are almost like family. My pooches are everything to me, and I try to include them in my activities. On the weekends, we can be found hiking, out on my boat, or meeting with friends at a "dog friendly" restaurant. I love to wake board and should have more skill than I do, but it's all about having fun, right? The one thing I look for when I respond to emails is that men are not taking photos of themselves in the mirror with their phone (just ask a friend to take a photo), proximity to where I live, & a man with a full smile. I hope this doesn't come across shallow; chemistry is so important. My teeth aren't perfect and I am certainly not a super model, but I am one happy girl & there is no better way to show the world who you really are but with a genuine smile. I am super slow at getting back to people through emails (something I am working on). I just don't check very often. Because I am super close with my friends, I sometimes get in my comfort zone & neglect the dating scene. If I respond to you once, It means I am interested; just make plans quick. The more emails and texts back and forth, the more I retreat & lose interest. With that said, once we go on a first date, the nerves are gone and I have no problem making plans for a second date. I am a confident woman; it is just the initial ice-breaker that sometimes gets me (you will never guess on the first date; I pull off shy very well. I bet you never knew a shy girl could be confident too).
Conversation Starters (i.e. what you'd like to do on a first date...)
For a first date, I like to keep it simple and close to home.
