Here's my honest attempt at getting back out there. At the risk of sounding cliche: I'm a caring, energetic, intelligent, positive, passionate, honest, dorky, and all-around decent person. I work in a female-dominant profession, so it's noticeably more difficult meeting men now that my career has settled.
I'm looking for a good man that has some old-school gentleman in him and knows how to treat a woman well. Someone who has good morals and has a good sense of self. I'm not looking for Prince Charming, but I am hoping for a man that can have fun, isn't afraid to spoil or be spoiled, can handle a good conversation or debate and not get upset, and understands that life can throw curveballs and it's just an opportunity to learn and grow. While all of us have a little baggage, I would prefer a drama-free partner...but who doesn't, right?
I'm an optimist and try to see the good in people even if they can't find it in themselves. I've been told that I'm smart, mature, and a good judge of character, realistic, bubbly, sociable, adventurous, cute, trustworthy, and a 'go-getter'...but they could just be buttering me up. :P
I do believe that how you treat a stranger is your true character, and I'm never short of smiles or hugs.
I'm looking for someone who isn't afraid to share ideas, can keep up both intellectually and physically, wants to experience life together, and has a positive outlook. The ideal guy is driven, motivated, leads a healthy lifestyle but not gym crazy, enjoys romance and intimacy, and can take turns being laid back and adventurous. A planner one day and a spontaneous guy that enjoys waking up to a sensual kiss and a little passion.
I actually do enjoy doing everything with the right people. While it can range from movies, bars, or dancing at the clubs, I'd much rather be snowboarding, attending concerts, watching the fireworks at the end of a magical day at Disneyland, or lounging on the beach in Mexico, enjoying massages, getting dolled-up for a classy evening out, camping, volunteering, or just quietly at home cooking together and cuddling up reading a book, just being happy and daydreaming. Wanting to travel and explore is a biggie, so I hope to share those new adventures too. I try to live life through experiences and remember moments.
I've reached many of my own goals, & I continue to strive. Someone who is driven to not only succeed financially, but has personal goals is key. My ideal guy, is a normal man... sweet, a romantic at heart, caring, good to his mother, healthy, personable, and can get the job done...whatever the job is, is honest and open-mined. Confidence and assertiveness are a plus, both in public and private areas of the relationship.
I still have high hopes that there men with integrity out there!
If you got this far...thank you :P
I'm always up for fresh oysters, rare steak, dim sum, Zachary's pizza, and all fresh fruits and veggies. I'll try anything at least once, a serious fan of Bizarre Foods.
I'm extremely attracted to a man's eyes, smile, smell, broad shoulders, strong arms, & height.
I love to cook and take care of people (it's innate, not forced).
I'm a tough cookie, but enjoy being girlie! Cute in flip flops, sexy in heels.
I rock climb! (the faker way though)
I sing in the car all the time....
I'm kid tested (as a teacher), and mother-approved! I'm just a decent person.
and...I'm always self-reflective. I believe that giving the best of me will bring out the best in others.
There's more to me than a profile...so hopefully you'll want to know more
I'm cautious about online dating, but it's a brave world, and I'm not going to say I didn't try. What happened to the 'boy meets girl' in reality scenario, that was my preferred method of dating :P I don't think you'll be disappointed if you give me a shot...the worst you'll get is a smile and a new friend.
There's someone special out there for everyone. Good Luck & hope to hear from you!
An amazing first date?
Can we just pretend like we are old friends and catch up? Maybe over a random new cuisine we haven't tried yet, hitting up an aquarium, walking through some museum, bowling, frozen yogurt, or whatever!?!
It would be nice though to be surprised. I don't think it's really done anymore, but giving your date a simple flower, walk next to each other and having small talk, making eye contact, sudden bouts of laughter, dorkiness, quirkiness, honesty, and flirty awkwardness.
Maybe I'm weird, but I'm looking for old school sentiments. Charm. Whimsy. Friendship. Attraction.
If we nail this on the first date, imagine how incredible the following dates would be! :)
