It's life's twists & turns that make each day unique and totally worth going all out, all the time. So, my antennae are always up for adventure and discovery.
I relish chance encounters, pop-up experiences, roads less-traveled, and falling a little in love with people everywhere. I enjoy independent film, progressive music, historical fiction, craft beer, costumes, side trips, and roller-coasters. I like warm socks, spicy food, twisty roads, slow kisses, and lifetime memberships.
I think that people in the Western world who existed in the late 60s/early 70s can be divided roughly into groups aligned with the British Invasion super-bands (The Beatles people, The Rolling Stones people, The Who people, Pink Floyd people, Yes people, etc.). Put me in The Who column.
Books? The Clan of the Cave Bear, 1812, The Perfect Storm, Without Remorse, The Punishment of Virtue, The Bonfire of the Vanities, and Lincoln. And, everything Raymond Chandler.
I have traveled extensively in North America and some in Northeast Asia. And I crave to do much more.
Spin the wheel: arts junkie, nerd, life of the party, inconspicuous observer, spontaneous, organized, embracing, formal, creative, derivative... Where might the needle point?
The only constant is change. I haven't checked lately...maybe change isn't constant anymore.
Am I open-minded? Most would say, "Yes." But, I'm willing to be flexible on that, too.
I am, however, guided by honor, loyalty, truth, justice, and the American Way. And, I'm probably too honest for my own good. How about you? Is that something we can both deal with?
Who is my "perfect" match? I dunno. Is anything perfect except, perhaps, every day's sunrise?
Who would probably be a pretty good match for me? That question is a bit simpler...
1. Someone who I can laugh with when nobody else knows why we're laughing.
2. Someone who makes my skin tingle when she touches me.
3. Someone who knows enough about herself to not be worried about who she is all that much.
4. Someone who can tell a story that I'd be happy to hear again and proud to repeat to others.
5. Someone who likes my chili (with or without black olives).
Are you she?
Maybe we could find out.
Have a craft beer, tell stories, laugh a lot, have another (different) craft beer, enjoy the day, enjoy the music in the air, laugh a lot more, and enjoy getting to know each other. And maybe, just maybe, touch each other's faces and drift into each other's eyes.
