About Steve
Just a normal guy who works hard and trying to get somewhere in this big world. I have 3 children all grown adults now. And I have 3 grandchildren. After 20 years of reckless abandon I decided when my first grandson was born it was time to pick up the pieces. So I have spent the last 5 years putting my life back together. I'm no saint and have been down many roads that most people would cringe at. But they have made me the man that I am today. I have zero tolerance for BS and/or Drama. People tell me that I have an old soul and my friends like to call me " the voice of reason" . I love knowledge and seek it daily. You'll see me watching history channel, discovery channel, reading and so on and so forth.
What am I looking for? Hmmm good question. I guess ultimately to find someone that gets me and I get them someone to spend the rest of my days with enjoying life. The one that I can't wait to come home to every night. And What do I want right at this moment. Well someone to hangout with and have fun. Doing whatever we both mutually agree on whether it be camping, a bonfire, watching a movie, going to an auction whatever. If it blossoms into a relationship great. Relationships don't just fly out of now where. You first need attraction and yes people unfortunately the first attraction is usually physical. Its what we see that makes us interested in learning more about the other person. On the profiles it says looking for anything, dating, hangout or several other options. Well I'm looking for them all. Aren't we all. Because at some stage from first interest to first meet to a committed relationship. we go through them all. There is no set order they all have to happen in. Things happen in the moment!. They are not planned. I'm a firm believer that certain things are ment to be. And things happen for a reason.
Are we gonna jump in the sack on the first date. Who knows. Not that I'm looking for that or expecting it. As I said sometime things happen. Or maybe we'll just sit and talk for hours about life and everything. Whatever it may be it's the fact that we spend time together getting to know each other and deciding to move forward or not.
As for me I'm an old school type of guy with a modern twist. I believe in opening doors and so on and so forth. I do have a witty sense of humor. And yes at times can be a smart ass. But all in a good way. Yes ladies momma raised me right. She taught me that no matter what to love, respect, honor and cherish the woman that I settle down with. And I try my best to live up to those standards she instilled in me. I believe that a man should always satisfy his woman before he satisfies himself. And another thing that I have learned is that any man that says that he wears the pants in his house is full of shit. He only thinks that he does because the woman allows him to think that.
In a nutshell I guess I'm just a big teddy bear, a hopeless romantic, with a little bit of George Carlin thrown in there just to keep it interesting.
P.S. I do know my way around a kitchen and can do laundry and so on and so forth. I'm a big boy and can pick up after myself. lol

First Date
Not a movie or dinner. Would rather it be something casual ( and by casual I don't mean sexual, get your head out of the gutter!) I feel that way we are both comfortable and can be ourselves. Prefer a nice cup of coffee and long conversation or meeting in the park . I wanna be able to be me and I want the same for you. Something where the 2 of us can get to know each other.
