About Me
I don't really know what I'm doing on here. I like to chain smoke and walk in forests and eat exotic flavors of ice cream (saffron, lavender, avocado, etc.). I don't like very many people, but when I do I really appreciate meaningful connections with others as they are few and far between.
I'm an English Education major with a focus in Creative Writing which is slowly killing me. I do not love SFSU but I deal with it nevertheless. Lately I've been looking for cheap things to do in San Francisco and teaching myself to draw better so I can make a zine or something. I am almost bored enough to join a band. I'm trying to figure out what I really care about and also planning a trip to Europe next summer.
I really like Daniel Clowes. Everything he writes is solid gold. Art School Confidential is hilariously true and Wilson is perfect. I also like Haruki Murakami and every writer than can perfectly put my feelings into words and make me feel less alone in the world. Oh and I love practically everything by Roald Dahl (especially the ones that aren't children's stories)
I love John Waters. I wish I knew someone else who likes him as much as I do. I really like Desperate Living even though John Waters himself is embarrassed of that film. I guess I have less than stellar taste in things. Some other directors I really enjoy are the brilliant Todd Solondz and David Lynch. I just started watching horror movies too. My favorites are Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 & 2 and Devil's Rejects.
Twin Peaks is the only television show I have watched every episode of. It was perfect and I was sad it had to end.
I don't really give much of a **** about music which is probably horrifying to a lot of people. I still like it, don't get me wrong, but it is not an essential part of my being. I like David Bowie, Morrissey, Nick Cave, Woods, Mr. Bungle, Joy Division, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Lou Reed, Nirvana, Former Ghosts & Prince
