About Me
I live aboard my sailboat on the Fraser river. Traveled extensively in Africa, Asia and Europe in my youth. Plan to take my boat cruising to the tropics at some point. Destinations open to discussion. Meanwhile I enjoy sailing locally and would like to share this with a partner. I've shed most of my belongings to live aboard.
I enjoy good books, challenging movies, live music & theater, close friends, well prepared food and believe in lifelong learning. My interests are wide ranging and I am rediscovering skiing and hiking. Spending time observing nature and being outdoors is important for me. I am a good cook and very knowlegeable about wine and liquor. I don't drink but have no problem with others drinking socially. My idea of travel doesn't include places like Vegas. Much prefer the path less traveled.
I love humor and prefer to see the glass as half full.
I have two adult daughters with whom I have a good loving relationship. I have done a good deal of volunteer work and plan on doing more. I believe in giving back to the world we live in.
I've been divorced for 4 years now and am well past it.
Somewhat untidy, tend to be disorganized, but very handy and self reliant. Love animals and children.
Presently losing weight very effectively and getting closer to my athletic self again. I'm finding getting fit again exciting and am at a stage where I am re-energized and very happy in life. My health is excellent.
I believe in good manners even if I occasionaly forget them. Can be spontanious but less impulsive than in my youth. Having traveled a fair bit has made me open minded about race, religion, food and a host of other things.
Not looking for a mother or a maid but an equal partner. Prefer substance and character over bling. I enjoy romance and closeness and hope for friendship and compatability.
